Restaurant - "La Clave Del Sabor 2" — Restaurant in Wanchaq

We loved this place!!! It's tucked in the back of the market, but not hard to find at all.

The woman running the place was a one woman show and cooked up my husband's trio ceviche dinner along with my avocado and chicken salad in very good time!! (We actually felt bad we didn't order something more simple when we realized it was just her.)

The food was all excellent and the drinks were good. Prices were great.

The market is also huge, so you can do lots of shopping before or after your meal.

I was looking for a place for a late lunch, and hoped the market would have a cafe. I lucked out. I ordered the Rocoto Relleno. The owner was concerned that it would be too spicy for me, but it was a little mild for my palette, but the flavors were delicious. I received two peppers stuffed with stewed vegetables (broccoli, green beans, carrots, olives and currents) topped with cheese. These were accompanied by a cob of Blanco maize and purple potatoes. Really poor service and the menu has no prices on it. I think at the end of the day, the server made up the prices.

We had three dishes (with Cuy being the most expensive) at 70 SOL - but it didn't look like anywhere near what it would have costed.

The other dishes were within the 30 - 60 SOL range.

The only reasonable price was the Coke at 10 SOL but even then, I was appalled when the bill came to 155 SOL. The food was edible but nothing special.
