Nice Hotel, nice rooms unfortunately Service and professionalism was not there during our visit. We needed to exchange money for our walking tour I. The morning right after breakfast decide to do it in the hotel. We exchange $ 50 usd for a total of $175 Sols. Mr Arturo was the receptionist who at the same time decide to exchange money for another customer by passing my exchange for whatever reason instead of telling the person to wait after he is done with me . Very unprofessional Nevertheless , I let it slide Mr Arturo counted in front of me $175 sols, no problem . We went on our merry way to the walking tour. The walking tour was $50 sols , when I pull out the $50 sol that the hotel had given me the tour guide refused it because it was damaged and it looked fake she told me to make sure to return it and tell someone at the hotel what they gave me.I figure I’ll speak to there. When we get back to the hotel. After a few hours we returned to the hotel and explained they gave us an unusable $50 sols. The new receptionist was Mr Rodrigo who blatantly stated that they don’t have those type of bills and that all their bills are new. Basically accusing us of trying to hustle the hotel out of $50 sols. Instead of saying “ let me take a look at this and sorry for your inconvenience” he made us feel like criminals . Any other hotel would had taken care of the situation by refunding us the $50 sol or given us credit. Not by calling the earlier receptionist from home and stating that “ Arturo said he didn’t give it to you” . I told them why would a guest of the hotel try to make things up for $50 sols, I said look at the video tape. They agreed to see the tapes , when he shows me the transaction you can not see the bills . But at least they can see the transaction happen in the hotel.Unfortunately, his response was to come at 6 in the morning to speak to Arturo, who already denied giving me a fake $50 sols. It is not about the $ it is about the embarrassment that this hotel made me and my wife go through with a damaged fake $50 that this hotel does not want to acknowledge that they made the mistake but blamed us for trying to swindle a four star hotel out of $50 sol. Of course the manager or anyone that can help is never around when needed.. Please do not exchange money in this hotel . Very unprofessional and very embarrassing experience when you have to prove your innocence instead of...

Read moreEven taking into consideration the ravages of Covid lockdowns I would not recommend this hotel. It is several kilometres walk from the bustling square with bars and restaurants and is not near any shopping areas or attractions so you will need a taxi. |The rooms were quite cold and the thermostat didn’t work. Luckily the bed linen was quite heavy. The bed was also quite comfortable. | Two small bottles of drinking water were allocated for the first night only( unacceptable when the tap water is not safe for drinking). |The front desk evening staff had no idea if Uber was safe to use in the area and could not show us where the main cathedral was on a map. |On arrival the safe had to be unlocked by staff and the phone did not work at all. The bath towels were fraying. The weather was very cold however the public areas in the hotel were even colder- obviously heating is a problem. Staff were also vacuuming outside our room in the evening when we were trying to relax after a long days travel. |There is a very pleasant courtyard garden however and breakfast was adequate but overall I would recommend other places close to the...
