Pros: Exceptional service, especially from our server, Silvana. Diverse menu with delicious options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike. High-quality ingredients that elevate each dish.
Cons: A little cool.
Our dining experience at Mamá Jama was nothing short of remarkable, largely due to the unparalleled service provided by our server, Silvana. Right from the start, she ensured we felt welcomed and meticulously cared for throughout our visit.
The culinary journey began with the Roasted Chicken Breast over a bed of perfectly cooked vegetables. The chicken was succulent, with a crispy exterior that locked in all the flavors. It was a dish that showcased the chef's adeptness and the high-quality ingredients used.
One of my friends savored the Chicken Saltado, a dish that stood out for its rich blend of flavors and textures, demonstrating why it's a crowd-pleaser. Another opted for the vegetarian platter, which was a feast for the eyes and the palate, full of fresh, vibrant ingredients that could easily win over meat enthusiasts.
Silvana’s expertise shone through in her menu recommendations, which were thoughtful and tailored to our tastes and dietary needs. Her knowledge of the menu and her attentive service greatly enhanced our dining experience.
In conclusion, Mamá Jama is a gem that boasts not just a menu of delectable dishes suited for various tastes, but also stellar service, thanks to employees like Silvana. I highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable culinary adventure. Five stars...
Read moreI stumbled upon this restaurant because it was across the street from my hotel where I was staying in Cusco on my way to Machu Picchu… And what a great find!
I love everything about this restaurant from the service to the happy hour drinks to the ambience to the food!
We had excellent service by Alexander & Rosaura and our delicious drinks were prepared by Alondra who was also the person who initially welcomed us with a very warm greeting and made great suggestions about the drink menu.
The menu included a wide variety to choose from. I took the pizza; he took the hamburger which came with a mini fire pit! (See video) First time I’ve ever seen that in my life! Both meals were delicious!
The ambience was an eclectic blend of classic Peruvian splashes of color, rustic gold tones and tributes to the Incan Empire and their Sun God. With lovely lighting, electric outlets were available for charging iPhones, and very plush, comfortable seats were available. I think my favorite part of the ambience was the music… mainly classic rock from the late 70s and early 80s intermixed with great romantic ballads.
Without question, the greatest part is it the end when they present you the check… And you realize you’ve just had two entrées and six drinks for $50. Talk about a great value!
This family-owned eatery is my new go-to restaurant whenever in Cusco! Thank you, everyone for a...
Read moreWe made a reservation for this place but since it was pretty much empty, we walked in right away. The staff told us to sit anywhere but once we did, he told me the table was reserved (even tho we had a reservation). We moved to another table which seemed to be right next to their stuff as we were bumped numerous times. We ordered the pig and lamb, funny thing is that the food came out before the juices were even done which makes it obvious that the food was just reheated. My pork wasn’t fully warmed up. The drinks were good but I saw the bartender cutting a leaf from the flowers she had on the counter, she didn’t even rinse it, she just put it directly on the cup. Not surprisingly, my bf who had that drink got very sick the next morning. The ambience of the place was ok, no complaints with that. But overall the food was simple, did not taste very fresh and the service was someone mediocre. I would not go back to this place and I would not recommend to tourists. The only good thing was the tamales 🫔. Oh, at the end, when i was trying to pay cash, they told me that they didn’t have change and asked for us to pay with credit card which we didn’t want. So i ended up having to look for coins in my bag, as they didn’t...
