El Puerto Boracay Shore — Hotel in Malay

The location is very nice, right next to the beach and night life. However I was very disappointed with the service, staff would not say anything or greet and would do the bare minimum just to get you in your room and that's it. We booked three rooms for the same price and all rooms were different sizes and felt like one of the rooms was not good value. The floor plan is in a very peculiar shape, and there are lots of places an average height person could butt their heads, but there are signs to warn you of these spots. The room I stayed in had a dodgy ceiling fan, that was held by a few wires and was about to fall off even when set to level 2 speed. If you're taller than 5'8 good luck getting into that bathroom as there is no leg space in the toilet and you will butt your head on the ceiling. However, this was only the case with 1/3 of our rooms. I went into the spa downstairs only once but it was not warm or hot at all, maybe this was just an unlucky occurrence. The final straw is getting locked into the comfort room down stairs, I nearly missed by bus to the airport. I had to help them unscrew the door Knob which was locked but simultaneously falling off. When the door finally came apart I did not get no apology but a "you can come out now sir". I understand most places in the phillipines have no toilet paper, but also please top up the shared comfort room toilet paper when it's empty!

I do not recommend El Puerto Station 1, you're better off looking somewhere else unless it is your only option, which in this case was our only option. They were already aware of some of these problems beforehand, but no action was taken until its really at its worst. Overall the quality of the hotel felt really lacking for a hotel...

Not the most welcoming staff. Sorry for the negative review, I'm usually uncomfortable giving one. But this place has really bad service. We're a group of almost 30 people. Staff do not communicate at all, are hard to talk to, hard to comprehend, or perhaps just lazy they do not want to provide service at all. Staff are not welcoming nor hospitable, and very lacking in knowledge and decision control. A robot is even better to talk to, has proper etiquette, and would know how to step up if necessary. Wonderful and beautiful resort! Me and my wife stayed here for 4 days last july 21-24! Amazing and kind staff! We will be back for sure! Superior rooms and the resort is beach front on station 1! Our stay is memorable because of the resort! Rooms are clean and breakfast was amazing! I want to go back to the resort again and visit boracay again!
