Iâd like to share our experience at this resort, highlighting both the good and the areas for improvement.
The Good: ⢠Spacious, comfortable rooms. ⢠Convenient location (10-minute walk to Alona Beach). ⢠Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. ⢠Clean pool (though not child-friendly). ⢠Generous breakfast portions. ⢠Friendly staff.
Areas for Improvement: Payment Options: Card payments werenât available, and while GCash was initially offered, we were later asked to transfer funds to their bank for their convenience. Her reasoning was that withdrawing directly from GCash would incur higher fees for them. This felt inconsiderate, as the focus was on their convenience rather than what was easier for us.
Room Cleaning and Privacy Concerns: Room cleaning was not done daily unless we specifically requested it or used the âMake Up Roomâ sign, which we understood was meant to respect guest privacy. However, one time they entered our room without informing us, cleaned ONLY the bin, and turned off the air conditioning. Staff said, they do turned off the Aircon if guests are not inside. This seemed contradictory to their stated policy of respecting privacy
Breakfast Ordering: Breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before, with a specific serving time requested. When we explained that we couldnât give an exact time as weâd just arrived and were exhausted, the staff insisted it was necessary so she could have an easier nightâs rest. While we complied, we found it odd that guests were expected to adjust for staff convenience.
Upon checkout, we lost the key and were asked to pay âą300 as per their policy. However, this policy was not explained during check-in, unlike others (e.g., toilet rules and restricted fruits). We explained our concerns about the poor cleaning service, and the staff seemed to understand, so we thought the matter was resolved.
Later, we received a WhatsApp message from the Director accusing us of being rude and aggressive, but the message was deleted seconds before we could fully read it.
To the Director, with all due respect, we were calm throughout. We suggest reviewing the CCTV, as the staff may have exaggerated the situation reporting it to you.
While we appreciated the positives during our stay, the service issues, particularly the disappointing message from the director, were frustrating. We hope the resort takes these points into account for future...
Read moreRecommend to think twice about staying here, unless you don't mind potentially being messed around by the hotel and, zero communication from hotel staff and indeed Booking.Com who we booked the hotel through. Upon check-in, for a 7 night stay, we were told, not asked, that we would have to change rooms after 4 nights because we were a long term stay and they were fully booked! Not sure that 7 nights has ever been considered long term?? Apparently, according to the hotel, moving rooms during a stay is normal practice.... which I tried to point out it definitely isn't and is in fact a result of them not being able to efficiently operate their booking system. We were also told the card machine wasn't working so we would have to pay cash, which we didn't have as we were expecting to pay by card. The boss refused to speak to us and left it to the girl at reception to handle our complaint, which she claimed she was unable to do anything about it. She was also unable to explain why neither the room moves or card machine not working had not been communicated to us prior to checking in. The only half hearted offer of compensation was two free breakfasts after we moved rooms, which we declined. As it turned out we didn't move rooms, however, we only found out by asking the staff what was happening as we were going out for the day. No one from the hotel bothered telling us that things had changed. We also had to ask if the card machine was back online, before checking out, which it was, but, the final sting came when we were told it would cost 4% to use. At this point we had no choice but to accept the 4% charge...again not mentioned during any prior discussions! Just another sour note in the overall shoddy service provided by the hotel.
2 bottles of drinking water are provided on arrival and that's it. No drinking glasses in the room.
Zero assistance/help from Booking.com who have not responded to my messages sent at the point of check in. Ideally we would have changed hotels but we were unable to find available rooms for our dates. To avoid starting and ending your stay on a sour note my advice would be avoid this hotel and...
Read moreThis was our second accommodation during our stay in Bohol, and we liked it a lot â especially compared to our first place, which was a bit too close to the main road and quite noisy. This place, however, is located at the end of a small lane, so itâs very peaceful and quiet. Yet itâs still super convenient â just a 3-minute motorbike ride to the main road.
It felt like the perfect balance between quiet and convenience. No more constant motorbike noise â just some roosters crowing in the morning, but thatâs island life and honestly quite charming.
Our room was spacious, especially the bed â large and super comfortable. The entire room was peaceful, and right outside our door was a beautiful pool. It gets sunny in the morning, so taking a dip in the cool water to start the day was just amazing.
They also offer laundry service for 200 PHP per load, with no weight limit, which we thought was a great deal. Drinking water is only provided on the first night, but thereâs a small restaurant where you can refill your bottles â much more eco-friendly than handing out plastic bottles every day.
There are also some nice local restaurants within walking distance, which made meals easy and enjoyable.
Overall, this was a very relaxing and pleasant place to stay â quiet, clean, convenient, and with a lovely pool. Definitely...
