Jumbo Crab Bohol — Restaurant in Panglao

I saw the branch in Boracay but didn’t try yet So when I saw it’s in Bohol, i decided to try.

So this how this restaurant work: Order the sauce then go choose the live crab yourself, they gonna weigh then Crabs and inform you total price.

Female crabs gonna have eggs and male crabs gonna bigger more meat (check the pics for reference)

We ordered Crabs: Black pepper, Chili and salted egg. Pawn: Black pepper, Cheese grilled Pasta cream crabs Seafood fried rice Fried kangkong 6 extra bread buns 6 coke Total paid: 10,309peso (VAT 10% included)

(Was thinking about butter garlic but it’s kind of oily and not seem good for dipping the buns)

**High recommend the Black Pepper sauce, the taste is very nice and it's really good when eat with buns bread Chili sauce also nice special we choose female crab for this. Salted eggs: they breaded and the way too much flour, make the crab just taste nothing. Pawns are big and sauce is the same as Crabs but the Cheese Grilled is very nice Pasta Crab Cream Pepper is really nice, but the quality a bit small. Seafood fried rice is nice but not much seafood inside, mostly rice Fried kang kong is also delicious

Service is lovely. They bring out the food for you to take pictures before the staff help you cut the crabs. We sit upstairs and they have about 3-3 staffs but they not really put eyes on you, it’s a bit hard to get their attention if you not shout out. They service the crabs really fast even before pasta and rice. You can get extra bread buns but 60peso/piece I think that a bit pricey for just tiny simple bread

In total, the crabs are fresh and sauce taste good compare to other restaurants for seafood in Bohol

The place is well-kept, clean, and impressively spacious, with a second floor that accommodates more guests. The high ceilings and chandelier add to its elegant ambiance. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly, and when I requested a table for three, I was promptly guided upstairs.

The waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The food was delicious—we ordered spicy shrimp and black pepper shrimp, but I personally preferred the spicy shrimp. It had just the right balance of oil and heat, making it a standout dish. We also tried bulalo, which was rich and meaty, with a well-balanced flavor—not too strong or salty, just perfect for everyone to enjoy. The watermelon juice was refreshing, and I would definitely recommend it.

I truly appreciated the spacious layout, and the waiters were friendly, always smiling and eager to assist. They seemed young and enthusiastic, adding to the positive atmosphere. The overall vibe was lively, with guests enjoying their meals and the great food.

While the prices are on the higher side, given the rising costs nowadays, I think they’re justified for the quality and experience. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I’ll definitely be...

왜냐면 저는 다른 리뷰들과 다르게 보홀에서의 음식 중 최악의 경험이었거든요.

워크인으로 예약없이 갔고, 예약이 아니어서 그런지 분위기 좋은 1층보다 2층으로 안내받았어요.

2층은 완전히 분위기가 달랐고, 트레이 3개 옆의 창가 자리로 안내받았는데, 일단 트레이가 매우 더러웠음. 창가도 더러웠음.

그래도 음식 극찬하니까 믿고 주문했습니다. 망고주스+마늘밥+칠리크랩으로 했어요. 주문후 1층에서 먹을 게를 골랐고, 완성된 음식은 게를 고른지 정확히 11분만에 나왔습니다. 여기서부터 이상했음.

💥중요한게, 게가 안따뜻했어요! 그리고 소스가 전혀 음식에 베겨있지않았고, 그동안 먹어본 크랩요리의 소스처럼 진득하지않고 물처럼 묽었습니다.

🤯같이 나온 마늘밥은 최악이었어요! 밥은 다 식어서 차가웠고, 간은 하나도 안되어있고, 그냥 식은 밥 위에 마늘 후레이크가 올라가 있었어요.

🥭망고주스는 최고였어요. 너무 웃겼습니다. 가실거면 망고주스는 꼭 드세요.

이렇게 해서 2인분 9만원? 가량 나왔는데, 필리핀에서 9만원치 이렇게 먹는게 맞나? 내가 필리핀에서 살았을때 이런 크랩맛 전혀 없었는데 이래도 되는건가? 엄청 혼란스럽고 솔직히 화났습니다.

나올때 사장님께 게 찌는 시간 물어봤는데 뭐 일반적인 찜기가 아닌 화력으로 해서 빠르면 4-5분만에도 게가 익는다는데, 그렇다하더라도..11분 만에 나온 요리가 식어있을 이유는 없습니다. 그리고 소스도 물처럼 묽은것도 이해안갔어요.

여전히 다른 후기들은 극찬 후기가 많은데, 저는 전혀 공감하지 못하겠습니다. 10만원 가량으로 그 다음날 미스트 레스토랑에서 정말 행복한 식사를 할 수 있었고, 한국 돌아가도 이런 크랩요리 충분히 훨씬 맛있게 먹을 수 있어요.. 솔직히 부정적인 리뷰는 최대한 안다는데, 정망 최악의 경험이었기에 다른 분들에게 도움이 되고자 적습니다. 한국인 사장이 한국인 벳껴먹는 기분이었음

Well... I think it's an advertisement that it's delicious here. (I'm more sensitive to the advertising system and its reviews because I'm currently working as a marketer, power blogger, and influencer.)

Because unlike other reviews, it was the worst food experience in Vauxhall.

I went to the walk-in without a reservation, and maybe because it wasn't a reservation, I was guided to the second floor rather than the first floor with a good atmosphere.

The atmosphere on the second floor was completely different, and I was guided to a window seat next to three trays, but the tray was very dirty for now. The window was dirty, too.

Still, I trusted and ordered the food because it was highly praised. I ordered mango juice + garlic rice + chilli crab. After ordering, I chose crabs on the first floor, and the finished food came out exactly 11 minutes after choosing crabs. It was weird from here.

💥Importantly, the crab wasn't warm! And the sauce wasn't cut into the food at all, it wasn't as thick as the sauce of the crab dishes I've tried so far, it was watery.

The garlic rice served with 🤯 was the worst! The rice was all cold, not seasoned at all, and there was garlic flakes on top of the rice.

🥭Mango juice was the best. It was so funny. If you want to go, make sure to drink mango juice.

Like this, 90,000 won for 2 people? Is it right to eat 90,000 won in the Philippines like this? When I lived in the Philippines, there was no crab taste like this, but is this okay? I was very confused and honestly angry.

When I came out, I asked my boss about the steaming time, and he said the crab would cook in as little as 4-5 minutes at the earliest because it's on fire rather than a regular steamer, and even so, there's no reason for the dish to be cold in 11 minutes. And I didn't understand that the sauce was as watery as it was.

There are still a lot of praise reviews for other reviews, but I can't relate to it at all. With about 100,000 won, I was able to have a really happy meal at the mist restaurant the next day, and even when I go back to Korea, I can enjoy these crab dishes much more. Honestly, I know negative reviews as much as I can, but it was the worst experience ever, so I wrote it down to be helpful to others. It felt like a Korean president was...
