Main Square Apartments — Hotel in Krakow

I have just returned from a weekend break in Krakow and a fabulous stay at Meyo apartments. Right in the main square, it is the ideal location, feet away from bars, restaurants and monuments with no noise heard from the idyllic apartment rooms. Everything you need to enjoy your weekend in Krakow is in walking distance, and it is the perfect central location for tour guides to pick you up should you wish to do any tours during your visit. I was amazed at the beautiful, modern apartments which were spotlessly clean and elegantly furnished. We booked two rooms and both were equally as gorgeous, from the bedding to the amenities - chandeliers, LED lighting, electric crackling fire, smart TV with Netflix + other apps that we were told we were more than welcome to log into on our own accounts and use. The apartments had kitchens, coffee machines and toiletries already in the stylish bathrooms. I had a breathtaking view over the square. When we arrived, Agatha greeted us outside with a smile, introduced herself and showed us inside, annotating a map of Krakow for us and showing us where we were, main attractions and her WhatsApp number in case we needed anything at all during our stay, even just advice! I was amazed at her hospitality and knowledge for such a young girl, it seemed as though she genuinely just wanted us to have a great weekend and was prepared to help in anyway she could with that, she was so friendly. It was as easy as a WhatsApp message to arrange a taxi transfer to the hotel when we left. I foolishly left my purse behind after my stay, thinking I would never see it again. I sent a WhatsApp message to Agatha who quickly responded, searched for it in the room, and immediately posted it to me, declining my offer to pay for the shipping. When I say that a place and service exceeded my expectations, I am not referring to the main elements you can see on the photos (which are true to what you are going to see once you open the door of the apartments), such as the arrangement in the room, the views, and the location. Those can't be disputed for Meyo apartments. I am referring to the small and mostly ignored things by many properties, that make your stay pleasant and bind you to come back when you visit Krakow again. I am talking about toothpaste, toothbrush, sleepers, wet wipes, cotton pads, coffee, tea etc. These small but important things that most of us forget to bring when travelling. And they do not cost much, but many properties do not care to provide them. Bartek does care. He also cares to assist and help anytime he can. He and the staff working with him even go above and beyond to prepare the apartments earlier than the check in time, so that you can leave your stuff, refresh, and go explore Krakow. The cleanliness is exceptional, all more due to the covid pandemic. You also get well equipped kitchen with modern and well-preserved pans, glasses, dishes and cutlery. For those who look for something extra, you also have that - the amazing fireplace, vast TV options (including Netflix with their own account), and light show for different moods :). The apartments has been tastefully renovated and include everything you need for a wonderful trip. Little touches such as electric blinds, led lighting, make up wipes, milk, coffee, local information, discounts to trips and restaurants have all been included and thought about, all things that make a difference to the quality of stay. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was a good pressure and hot. The apartment is in a fabulous location on the main square which is perfect for any traveller. Michel was a perfect host, he was responsive in a timely manner to all communications and helped us choose and book a restaurant for a special occasion and sorted the taxi from the airport. He kept in touch with the driver when we were delayed in a huge lengthy queue in passport control so our transfer was perfect once we got through!! We were able to leave our bags at the property after check out which was very useful. Krakow was an amazing city, the polish are kind, relaxed people who understand good food!
