Hotel is located pretty far from anywhere decent. We paid for breakfast on our first day and it was very limited. I can only assume they managed to find the worst coffee in Portugalđ Hubby loves coffee and he clearly was struggling to finish the cup! Food is very limited. Three types of pastry, two types of drinking yogurt, coffee machine, four types of juice- it is not 100% juice unfortunately, only fruit available were bananas and mandarins. On top of that you only had one type of bread, two types of butter and some kind of cheap looking ham and one kind of cheese. That is it. Definately not worth the price. Air conditioning was working perfectly which is great. One of the lifts, the left one, is making weird noises like it is struggling. We tried to use the right one. Beds were clean and toilets not so clean. There was some kind of yellow lotion I can only assume, on the inside of our bathroom door. Not great. Shower heads need proper scrubbing..made me use only one handheld shower head instead of the high above me (it was gross) Beds were comfy. There is a fridge in your room but very shallow so only tall items can fit in but not bulky ones. Safe was working which was great. I requested some plates from the reception and on our first night it was not an issue. We brought it back down as we were told on the next day. I tried to request them again on our last day for the fruit we bought and the receptionist wearing glasses firstly said she does not understand what I say, then said it is impossible, then said she can only give us the wooden ones even though we said we already requested it in the past and there was no issue...Do not understand why was she so difficult about such a small request. Anyways all of the other staff were lovely. We did not request cleaning service for the whole 5 days of our stay, just fresh towels and toilet rolls (They only give you 2, 1-2 ply toilet rolls per day)đ Pool was closed thoughout our stay but went to look at it through the door and it looked more like a large square bath type of thing. Definately not a normal pool. After all our stay was ok for the price. We booked the hotel in november so we got it...
Read moreStaff were helpful, breakfast was served from 9am to 11am which is decent if you want to sleep a bit more but the food itself was just decent, nothing extraordinary for the price you're paying. Location was OK, half an hour walk to Baixa-Chiado. However like the whole of Lisbon is a lot of uphill /downhill walking. The reason really why I'm rating 3 out of 5 is the pool. The pool is not really a pool, it's more like an oversized bathtub. The pool area is so small that they only allow 5 people in the area and you have to book it in advance for 1hour a day only. If you're like me and like to swim and dive, I don't recommend it at all. Also, I wanna go for a swim when I want to go for a swim, so having to book it ruined the pool for me. Moreover, parts of the pool area don't have sun depending on the time of the day and there's no one overseeing how many people go in the pool area so for such a small area that you have to book for, it's not very pleasant to have a lot of people there when you made the booking which happened on the very first day and I didn't bother trying again. They advertise laundry service and shuttle to the airport but that's a lie. They sure will book it for you but it's not their service both laundry or the shuttle. The rooms were not cleaned properly either. Towels changed bit the floor wasn't cleaned at all. Another reason for my rating is the Air conditioning, no matter how much I changed the temperature, switched from cold to heating, the air was always cold. Shower was poor. The shower head had a big gap in the middle and it was dirty. There is a safe for your belongings and a fridge which is nice. |Also, for the coffee drinkers, there's no coffee in the room which was the first time I've seen that in a hotel, specially for a 4 star hotel. TV is tiny. During check in I had to pay 40 euros for tourism charge which even though every hotel does this in Portugal apparently, I think it's something they should disclose when making the booking. |Overall, I wasn't pleased with 3k Madrid for the price I paid. Not staying...
Read moreSubject: Formal Complaint Regarding Recent Stay at 3K Hotel
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction following my recent stay at the 3K Hotel. Unfortunately, the experience fell significantly short of expectations, particularly in light of the price paid.
Despite having requested a twin room, we were allocated a room with two single beds placed directly next to each other, with no space between them, effectively functioning as a double bed. Additionally, only one room key was provided. When we requested a second key, we were asked to pay a deposit. Regrettably, this deposit was not returned to us upon checkout, due to an oversight by the reception staff.
Further concerns arose with the general service and hospitality provided. We were refused glasses to use in the lobby for drinks we had brought ourselves, and requests for ice were met with reluctance. When ice was eventually provided, it was served in small paper cups, which felt inadequate.
The condition of the room itself was also unsatisfactory. The beds were uncomfortable, the television and air-conditioning units were not fully functional, the lavatory seat was loose, and the shower screen was too narrow to contain water, which led to the bathroom floor becoming wet and slippery.
The only redeeming feature of the hotel was its location, approximately a 20-minute walk from the city centre.
Given the above, I must express my disappointment with the overall quality of both the accommodation and the service provided. I respectfully request that this complaint be acknowledged and that appropriate steps be taken to address these issues for future guests.
Yours...
