I took a quick solo trip to Lisbon for some work related visits and to celebrate my birthday. I randomly came across the website of Lioz shortly after they had opened and I am so glad I chose this property for my stay. As an architect, I appreciate greatly the fact that it is housed in a carefully preserved and converted old building between Baixa and Alfama on the Tagus waterfront. The premises are tastefully furnished and fully equipped with very high quality furniture, appliances, bedding, linen, and even crockery and plates. There were lots of fluffy towels and nice products from the Portuguese brand Benamor in the bathroom. Everything one needs for a short of mid-to-long term stay are there and well thought of. As aforementioned, the place is brand new and everything clean, in a perfect condition, and smell very nice. Most (if not all) units enjoy a riverfront view, and I was lucky enough to get upgraded to a larger unit with a balcony, which I enjoyed using in the perfect Lisbon weather during my visit. Staff were professional and helpful (especially Flavia, thanks) and there is also a value-for-money breakfast option with the (also new) brunch cafe on the ground floor. I could walk to most places I wanted to visit in Lisbon, and I believe the transportation options are also quite convenient although I did not make use of that myself. It is a busy area, but not unpleasantly so, the entrance is right on a pedestrianized and newly redesigned public space by the Tagus. Dining options in the vicinity are plentiful and for literature aficionados, the foundation dedicated to the work of the Nobelist Portuguese author Jose Saramago, is right next to Lioz, and very much worth visiting too. I had a great stay and can highly recommend Lioz. If only I could stay longer...I cannot wait to go back beautiful Lisbon and of course to Lioz...

Read moreI'm so happy we found and booked Lioz for our stay in Libson. Perfect location, beautiful setting right by the water. Wasn't a far walk from some really beautiful cafes and coffee places etc. The coffee from the cafe downstairs was absolutely amazing - one of the best lattes I had whilst I was there! The staff and service was brilliant, couldn't fault them at all - even the lobby smells absolutely amazing?! The rooms and bathrooms are so stylish, the shower was out of this world and the bed was SO comfy. I 100% will be coming back to Lioz - it really did feel like a luxury boutique stay.
We booked one of the apartments which had the balcony overlooking the water and it was just gorgeous, so gorgeous that my boyfriend proposed to me right there on the balcony at sunset - so Lioz will forever have a place in our hearts! Thank you for a...
