Very, very, very nice place. But the beer is warm. The IPA is warm! I will still keep coming, the place is too pretty not to. But the beer is warm, it's not acceptable, it's not the first time. There are many customers all the time, this is a successful business, a solution can and must be found.

Three months later, the beer is cooler, drinkable. :-) It went from one star to five. Location is all in this case.

Two days later I realise that, even if I come here for a couple of after work beers on my own and I'm not in a hurry, I don't like to be systematically ignored by staff. Am I too ugly? Too old? Too uninteresting? It looks instead like they don't care, they keep chatting with colleagues while customers keep longing for a second of attention. So I lowered back the number of stars that I give. This comment is for you traveler who like to read the worse reviews. The place is still a pretty terrasse to have a drink on, especially at sunset.

Another edit, two months later, during another trip to Lisbon: Last time I forgot to mention that I ordered a pizza. It was edible. Barely. But yes, you are here, watching this sunset, you are hungry and wouldn't mind eating something that's not really good and on the expensive side. Then this food is for you. And today I ordered a smoked-ham/cheap-cheese/rocket for the price of half a liter of unicorn blood and it's the worst sandwich I've had this century. Edible still, strictly speaking. It comes with chips and one napkin. Good stuff. The Coruja beer is still nice, however warm. The waiter smiled at me: they now have two stars...

The location is nice, but that's about it. The drinks are completely overpriced (yes I understand it's a touristy place but there is tourist prices and overpriced), the staff comes every 3 minutes to take your glass which is still half full, the staff is just doing their job and aren't very welcoming, your just another number. You are not allowed to move or even turn the chairs to not have the sun full front on your face. Doesn't make sense to me?! The worst was the toilet experience, only 1 toilet available. Apparently the other toilets are full. That one toilet needs to be shared with the staff who have priority, so you wait a long time and then still need to let the staff go first. When it was my turn someone needed to go up on the top floor over the toilets and I was expected to use the bathroom while he was up there being able to watch me any time through the gaps in the door that was in the ceiling. I complained and was told I will have to wait a while.

Very sad that we had this experience as the location is nice. Luckily Lisbon has other...

Disorganized and overwhelmed staff. We tried to order at the kiosk, which had no line, and were told to sit at a table. We did and were ignored for a lengthy period of time while people who sat after us had their order taken (but not delivered). Note this was a weekday evening and the tables were only about 60% occupied, not a peak time.

Waiter came over and began reading an order to confirm it's what we wanted. Explained we had never ordered, perhaps someone had vacated the table but it obviously wasn't our order as it was 4 drinks for 2 people. He said ok, left, then came back and read the same order again but slower. We were offered someone else's drinks once, but never got to order what we actually wanted. We just got up and left.

We never saw anyone actually get their correct order in the time we waited. Mostly just the waiters getting together, pointing, and taking drinks to a table only to be told it wasn't the right order for that table.

Very very rare for us to have any issue with service in Lisbon but this was that...

Lovely view of the bridge & Christ the King from the pier. Nice attendants and good prices on the menu. You can have a coffee, juice, some snacks or a more sizable plate. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because this restaurant/kiosk is next to a large garbage dumpster and every time there’s a breeze (which is 90% of the time) the smell of rotten waste goes right up in your nostrils. I was constantly conflicted between the horrid smell and the nice view. Other than that, they offer “beach-like” chairs around the pier so you can lay back, have a drink, catch some sun, and catch some views.

This place is a must go if visiting Cais do Sodré, however the caveat is that you're essentially paying for the location. Prices are fairly high but not unreasonable (Spritz and cocktails are however not generally worth it). Service is OK, but the shift from getting your own stuff at the Kiosk to table service has hurt the generic score. It's a busy place, and you might have to wait quite some time to get served at busy hours. Being able to order at the kiosk would greatly benefit the generic service at this establishment. Atmosphere and location are 5/5.
