A very small sandwich shop, that you may miss if you're not paying attention. The sandwiches are big in size and have unique filling combinations. The fries are fresh and quite tasty. Please note they are cash only. We had two strange encounters with the woman who was working there that made the experience not as great. The first was when we were ordering. We wanted to order the fries which looked delicious. However, the woman recommended we order the caprese as she had made one fresh for another table, but they had ordered the wrong appetizer and sent it back to the kitchen. She was recommending we take their caprese since it would come out right away. We politely declined and proceeded with ordering the fries. The second had to do with seating. There were no tables available when we walked in, so the host seated us at the bar and said if a table opened up we could sit there because it was first come first serve for tables. While we were waiting for our food, two tables opened up. A gentleman who came in after us took one open table and we proceeded to take the other. However, as we were shifting our belongings to the table, the host came over and said we could not sit there as the table had been reserved by a woman who had just walked in. We thought it was a little odd since the host had said it was first come first serve and that we could take a table as soon as one opened up. To avoid any awkwardness we decided to move back to the bar, however the woman then insisted we take the table. We thanked her and sat down, but the rest of the evening the host would tell us multiple times how kind it was that the woman gave us her table, as if she had done us some huge favor. It just made the whole experience so awkward and that much...
Read moreApril 22, 2024. Around 13:00. My daughter really wanted to eat there after reading good reviews on Google. It was around 13:00, peak hour, there was no seat available. It’s ok, no problem, we decided to wait, no rush. We absolutely understand the situation. Suddenly my daughter saw 2 seats at the stool, she wanted to ask the waitress if we could take these seats but on a couple of attempts, the waitress pretended not to hear and never looked at her. I felt a bit comfortable already but I thought she was just overwhelmed. However when some places became free, the waitress cleaned the table and at no time did she bother to look at us or speak to us but when another customer asked her something she answered normally. Precision: we are Asian and the other customer is white European (believe me, I am deeply sorry for mentioning this specific detail!!! Because I am not used to say that!) I just felt like we were not welcome. I told my daughter to leave but she wanted to eat the sandwich so badly so I got up and left. I don’t want to eat and pay for a place where I feel the RACISM, the racist attitude. That’s all. The waitress was a fat girl with short hair. First welcome in Porto...
Read moreWe were looking for a quick breakfast spot near where we were staying and came across this place on Google. The menu showed sandwiches for around 5–6 euros, which seemed like a good deal. However, once we arrived, we realized the online menu was outdated - the actual price for a sandwich was 9 euros, which felt a bit overpriced for what it was.
That said, we decided to stay and see if it was worth it. The sandwiches were good - not mind-blowing, but the flavors were nicely balanced and overall tasty. Still, I’d say the price felt a bit too high for a simple breakfast sandwich.
The shop itself is tiny, so depending on how busy it is, it can feel a bit cramped. But there’s Wi-Fi and a bathroom, which is convenient.
In summary, it’s a decent spot for a tasty sandwich, but probably not the most economical choice for breakfast - especially if you’re expecting prices listed online. Still, if you’re nearby and want something quick and flavorful, it’s a solid option.
If the prices were a bit lower, I’d definitely come back. The food was good, but considering the portion size and cost, it felt more like a one-time visit rather than a...
