Candy Lisa - Paraíso das Gomas — Local services in Porto

When we entered the store, we were each offered a candy. My wife and 6 year old daughter accepted. My daughter enjoyed looking at all the different candies and she and my wife went about picking some for later. Our total came to around €4-5 for a decently sized bag. There are reviews talking about how expensive the candies are. Honestly, I don’t know. We don’t really buy candies. We usually buy SmartSweets candies in Canada. They are about $3-4 for a 50g bag. I guess that means we picked up 100g or so of candy based on what price was talked about here. Afterwards, the employee also gave my daughter a lollipop for free. We didn’t spend a lot of time in the shop, but for the experience of exploring all the candy and for the candy itself, I feel the price more than fair. I was excited to visit this store after passing so many other branches in other cities in Portugal but I feel totally robbed after purchasing 2 small bags of sweets and being charged almost €30 for the pleasure! I haven’t tried them yet but I’m also a bit dubious about the fact that lots of the containers in the store are sitting with the sweets exposed to the air so I imagine some of them will have gone a bit hard (and also not be very hygienic.
