Mayor's Apartments — Hotel in Porto

Clean, spacious, absolutely beautiful apartments. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The price was a bargain. This place exceeded our expectations. We were traveling as a group and we booked out 4 apartments for a wedding and it was so convenient to all be in the same building but with each couple having their own apartment all with a kitchenette. We loved the exposed stone walls throughout, the huge windows and the light well in the hallway.||Some of the apartments had stunning views. The loft room was especially beautiful but they were all very well appointed with everything we needed, and they are modern and so clean. We are so glad we booked here and cannot recommend it enough. The lady who checked us in spoke perfect English and the apartments are in a great location only a few minutes walk from all the local shops and amenities. We were traveling with two toddlers and the set up was great for us as our room had a separate bedroom plus a sofa bed. Plenty of spare bedding and towels we had no need to ask for anything at all as they had thought...

The place was spotless and we had 3 rooms - a bathroom, a living room with kitchenette and dining table as well as a bedroom. Everything was nicely done, clean and very comfortable. Location is great, very central and easy walk to everything. Parking we found right out front, paid a nominal amount to keep it there all weekend (there’s a parking garage nearby, less than 3 mins walk if needed). Pet was welcome. Aufgrund der vielen sehr positiven Bewertungen haben wir uns für das Mayors Apartment in Porto entschieden. Soviel vorne weg: die Lage und der erste Eindruck sprechen auf jeden Fall für das Apartment - ABER:

Die Bitte uns mitzuteilen, wann das Apartment final bezugsfertig ist blieb leider aus, so warteten wir vor der Tür bis das automatische Schloss endlich auf 15 Uhr sprang, obwohl das Apartment bereits fertig war. Kaum angekommen mussten wir feststellen, dass die im Vorfeld gebuchten Zusatzleistungen wie Babybett und Hochstuhl nicht vorhanden waren. Ergänzend dazu war eine der Rückenlehnen bei den Esstischstühlen herausgebrochen und die Bedienung der Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer mit leeren Batterien ausgestattet. Die Dusche war ebenfalls schmutzig, was jedoch auf Nachfrage erneut gereinigt wurde.

Darüber hinaus wirbt das Haus mit einem Fahrstuhl, welcher jedoch erst ab dem Zwischenstock startet. Also nichts von wegen Barrierefreiheit bzw. Entlastung bei Gepäck und Kind.

Weitere negative Punkte sind die Hellhörigkeit resultierend durch die schlecht gedämmten Wohnungstüren, die angepriesenen jedoch leeren Desinfektionsspender sowie die eher stumpfen Messer in der Küche. Ideal wäre natürlich auch ein Geschirrspüler gewesen, der jedoch nicht vorhanden war.

Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war eher sehr zurückhaltend und alles nur digital. Wir haben niemanden persönlich angetroffen.

Gut zu wissen, direkt vor der Tür gibt es eine Handvoll gute Restaurants!.

Fazit: gerade im Vergleich mit anderen Apartment-Anbietern hat das Majors Apartment noch viel Potential- ein schöner Vergleich ist hier z.B. zu unserem Aufenthalt bei Lisbon Best Apartment zu ziehen - hier war...
