Oportoflag Center was an excellent place to stay, with spotless rooms and top-notch facilities. When we first arrived in Porto, Ana warmly welcomed us, providing a map and a contact card so we could reach her anytime. Although we initially forgot to book breakfast, this was resolved quickly and efficiently. The room was prepared in no time, much faster than what we’ve experienced at other hotels, and it was equipped with everything we needed.
The WiFi was excellent, and we were greeted with freshly folded towels placed neatly at the foot of each bed. My bed was incredibly comfortable, and my children had a sofa bed that was surprisingly cozy. Breakfast was delightful, offering a variety of options including bread, pancakes, eggs, and bacon—everything you’d want for a hearty morning meal. The breakfast lounge was immaculately clean, and the two staff members on duty made sure every table was thoroughly sanitized.
Since we were visiting during New Year’s, we asked Ana about restaurants open on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. She went out of her way to research and provide us with a list of great options, complete with Google Maps links. Her assistance truly enhanced our experience.
At the end of our stay, Ana kindly arranged a taxi for us, wrapping up a fantastic visit with...
Read moreWe stayed for 5 nights. The appartment looked new. It was very roomy. We had free water every day which makes life a lot easier. The breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Mixed selection to please all nationalities. I particularly liked the homemade? yogurt and what I think were curds.||We were able to relax on a balcony, play a few rounds of cribbage, and there was a seating area around the courtyard if you wished to use sofas.||For a couple of nights we did salamis, cheeses and salad for ourselves and the kitchenette was perfectly adequate for that.||As a point of note, the Portuguese are the happiest and friendliest people we have met to date on our travels - and we've travelled a fair bit now. All the staff were the epitomy of this. ||For us the location was convenient for getting around.||For the price I don't think they could have done anything to improve their offering.||We left in a bit of a hurry and didn't get a proper chance to thank the staff and say goodbye. I hope this makes up for it.||I would fully recommend to everyone to spend 3-4 nights in Porto, and if we return we will definitely book here again.||ps. Portuguese wine is seriously good and massively undermarketed in the UK. They should be as well stocked as the other countries.. We tried...
Read moreWe stayed 3 nights in a one bedroom apartment. It was clean and quiet, a bit noisy in the morning when morning traffic started. Well soundproofed large windows faced the street. Everything was nice and functional in the room: comfortable bathroom, equipped kitchen. Breakfast was not provided. Cleaning service was not provided every day either. Maybe we should've asked for the cleaning; I am not sure about that but it was fine with us. The location is generally central but one block out of the center; no people around. It felt slightly uncomfortable after dark. There was no washer/dryer in the room as advertised. There was a laundry room in the hotel where you could use two in one washer/dryer. The laundry, however, was not open 24 hours. It was open at 9AM and closed 8PM, which was very inconvenient. We got our clothes locked for a night. The parking is at the hotel's backyard, key access for the gate. Overall very good experience...
