Porto 110 was just perfect for us. Our room was extremely comfortable, quiet and large overlooking the railway station, which I found fascinating and more to the point wasn´t noisy! Our hosts had clearly spent a lot of time and effort ensuring that the room was tastefully decorated and furnished and included lots of little touches, like the make-up mirror in the bathroom, the fridge and the lovely shampoo and shower lotion. And we also got good Sky TV reception. ||||The room itself had a large double bed with luxurious soft linen, a seating area and then a table and chairs, where breakfast was set up each morning. And what a breakfast - beautifully laid out with a huge selection of yogurts, fruit, fresh juice, ham and cheese, bread rolls and pastries and excellent coffee. The bathroom had an excellent shower. The central location was also a definite bonus, as everything was walkable. We found two excellent restaurants close by - rei dos Queijos and Mistu, which I would also highly recommend.||||Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, who also took a lot of time explaining what to...

Read morePorta 110 was an exceptional stay for us for so many reasons. The excellent location: many restaurants, cafes, and tourist sites are a short walk away and the Bento train station is on the next block. Our sizeable room, filled with light from 4 large windows, was elegantly and thoughtfully furnished and decorated. The bed was comfortable--loved the good quality crisp white linens. Other plusses: great water pressure, large shower, quality toiletries (by Maraki), thick white towels. Our hosts Jaoa and Hugo are nothing short of wonderful--attentive and helpful but never intrusive. It was a delight each morning to see one or the other deliver a fine, varied continental breakfast to the room. We ate at a copper-top table under a vintage chandelier. So chic! They are kind and thoughtful. When one of us got sick one night, Jaoa brought tea and food that were gentle on the stomach. There's nothing not to love about this place except for some noise outside on the weekend. Great value, a...
