It’s an average 3-star hotel. The location is great: close to the city centre and plenty of great restaurants and also close to the train station! The staff was nice and welcoming. There’s parking available for a few cars in the small interior yard. There is a desk from which you can work and the internet is very good. The breakfast is basic, but good enough. It would have been a superior experience if at least some of the following things were better: - The curtains were basically working only half way and properly covered only half of the window. People walking outside could definitely see inside the room. We had to improvise to have some privacy. - There was no trash can, other than the one in the bathroom. - The 11AM checkout is too early (but that’s how it is in most places nowadays) - Loud bathroom fan - The floors didn’t look properly cleaned - The heating was working maybe too well. We had to stop the radiators at some point because it was too hot. - The shower gel dispenser was filled with water, not actual shower gel/soap - The thinnest toilet paper ever - Small mosquitos somehow made it into the room in the middle of the winter

Normally it would be 4 and a half stars, but I rounded up to 5 because the hosts were exceptional. Very close to the center, with an old air, but in a good way. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom is big enough. Breakfast is reasonable if you stay 2-3 days, having both hot and cold food, juice, coffee, tea, etc. The parking space is free, but quite small, you can also park on the street, but for a fee. As minuses would be the TV programs, many of which are coded, so it is a bit difficult to navigate through them, respectively the fan in the bathroom, which made an infernal noise when you turned it on. Otherwise, only good, pleasant atmosphere, relatively quiet (even if you are in the middle of the city), welcoming hosts.

The location is great, and the hotel is really nice, though at times with a business hotel feel, which perhaps it is. The private parking, although with limited spaces, is really a must, as is the excellent breakfast. The room we were assigned was really elegant, with the bed on a loft that left a lot of room to spare; unfortunately, however, the great heat was felt and on the loft it was really borderline unbearable despite the portable air conditioner placed downstairs. Bathroom not in perfect condition but well above Romanian standards, and with excellent facilities. To finish very courteous and punctual service, young but very professional, and really interesting price. In my opinion an excellent choice for Cluj.

Paid for breakfast but couldn’t eat it... Non hygienic! Staff obviously not educated = health hazard. No rotation of food: Dry vegetables. Omelette lying around soggy for ever on paper, non heated. Cleanliness zero :( Coffee machine not cleaned for a loong time. They had a real lovely coffee machine but not in use- asked for a cappuccino from that instead but not possible. Decided for tea instead: found a tacky box with 6 options on the lid. When I opened it it was almost empty and I asked for a refill. The guy came back with just one kind of tea (same kind that there were a couple left of... so no point with refill😩) and stuffed them in, in a mess under the lid. No time or energy to line them up in the slots - this is when I decided to make my first negative review this holiday....|The young staff member at breakfast was more interested in hanging out and talking with a friend instead if working, no interest, no service and not even trying to be nice. He was very diligent though when it came to chasing all the guests to the reception to get tickets for breakfast (that we all already had paid for), before we could sit down. He even chased off a couple in the middle of their breakfast.||Beds far too hard. No top mattresses. We tossed and turned all night and got up sore and tired.||There are far better places for the same cost in town. Ironically, the other Fullton in town has better beds, a better location and hygienic breakfast, for...
