Cetățuia Park — Attraction in Cluj Metropolitan Area

Last December, a few friends and I decided to hike up Cetățuia Hill, and it quickly became one of my most memorable experiences in Cluj. The climb is gentle enough for most people and leads to a viewpoint that offers sweeping panoramas of the city and surrounding hills. Other visitors often praise the site as a perfect mix of nature and history—the old fortress ruins give a glimpse into Cluj’s medieval past. I really enjoyed the fresh air and quiet trails, especially after spending a lot of time in the city center. It’s a popular spot for locals to run or walk, so it never feels isolated or unsafe. From the top, the city skyline and the Carpathian Mountains beyond looked breathtaking in the winter light. Not a big fan of the panoramic view from top of the hill, as the city of Cluj is still contaminated by a lot of ugly buildings from communist era. Unpalatable ugly are also the buildings dating back from the '90s and some of them are also visible from Cetatuia. The only things that worth climbing all those stairs are the food vans located on the peak, from where you can get a cold beer and watch the sunset. During TIFF there's an open air cinema on top of Cetatuia Hill and that's the best venue where one can watch a movie around Cluj. Been there during TIFF 2021 to watch Riders of Justice with Mads Mikkelsen and it was a lovely experience. (Locatie)

Parcul se afla in nordul orasului pe un deal. Exista cateva autobuze in zona, dar poti ajunge si pe jos, orasul nu e chiar asa mare. Este la cateva minute de Centeu si fix langa stadionul celor de la CFR Cluj. Locurile de parcare langa parc exista si fara plata, dar sunt si locatii cu plata in care sa poti lasa masina.

(Curat)

In parc este cat de cat curar. Primaria se ocupa de curatenie. Din pacate nu totii oamenii pastreaza locul curat si ii mai vezi ca arunca tot felul de ambalaje sau nu curata dupa cainii lor. Nu exista cişmele din care poti sa bei apa.

(Dimensiune)

Parcul este mediu ca dimensiuni.  Iar in interior diverse drumuri si locuri verzi in care poti sa stai, de asemenea si bancute.

(Mancare)

Nu sunt nici un fel de tarabe in parc, nu exista loc in care poti sa cumperi de manancare sau de baut, totusi poti sta sa mananci si sa bei daca iti aduci de acasa

(Locuri de joaca)

Nu sunt locuri de joaca pentru copii mici. Nici terenuri de sport sau zone in care te poti juca.

(Biciclete)

Un parc nu foarte bun de a te plimba cu bicicletele. Este destul de mic si il strabati imediat, drumurile in schimb sunt largi, dar doar pe anumite portiuni, nici piste speciale pentru biciclete nu exista. Nu sunt nici locuri de unde sa poti inchiria biciclete.

(Alergare)

Spatiul este destul de mic. Ai putea sa dai o tura, dar mai mult de 1-2 km nu sunt. In parc sunt multe drumuri si nu prea ai cum sa ti faci un plan in care poti sa alergi.

(Caini)

In schimb, poti sa-ti plimbi cainele lejer, exista in schimb locuri speciale unde ii poti da drumul liber si sa se joace acolo. Sau poti doar sa-l plimbi pur si simplu prin parc.

(Citit)

Sunt destul de multe bancute, si nefiind copii mici, asa multi, poti sta linistit sa citesti acolo.

(Diverse)

Nu exista vrun las, dar privelistea de sus este exceptionala, poti sa vezi tot Clujul de la inaltime. Exista locuri in care poti sa ti pui paturica si sa stai la iarba verde sau sa joci un badminton.

Noaptea este destul de luminos. Mai peste tot in parc ai destula vizibilitate, deci nu trebuie...
