Casa Veche — Restaurant in Cluj Metropolitan Area

Nice location in the old city center, with lots of outdoor seating. The waiters are very efficient.

The food was really good, boyfriend and I really wanted some good ciorbă, so we both got the Ciorbă Rădăuțeană which was delicious. Had plenty of chicken and was well seasoned. It had lots of sour cream, which might put off some people.

The Pasta Carbonara could have been a little bit less saucy, but it was delicious. They make it with cream, not the traditional way (some might find that upsetting).

The jasmine rice with caramelized chicken is basically fried rice with teriyaki chicken. The sauce was a bit too sweet, I couldn't finish it because of that.

Got some Ginger Lemonade, which was a bit too gingery than what I was used to.

Overall nice location, couls tweak a few recipes and the prices were OK...

Locul nostru preferat: Casa Veche

Ori de câte ori avem ocazia, eu și prietenul meu ne îndreptăm direct spre Casa Veche. A devenit restaurantul nostru preferat și fiecare vizită este o încântare.

Ambianță:

Casa Veche oferă o atmosferă confortabilă și fermecătoare. Decorul vintage, iluminatul discret și scaunele confortabile creează un cadru cald și primitor. Este perfect atât pentru cine romantice, cât și pentru mese casual. Restaurantul găzduiește și o expoziție de artă semnata de dna Adriana Soit, adăugând o notă de cultură și frumusețe experienței culinare.

Serviciu:

Personalul este prietenos, atent și mereu gata să ajute. Își amintește de noi și de preferințele noastre, ceea ce face fiecare vizită să fie specială. Chelnerii sunt cunoscători și oferă recomandări excelente. Domnul Sandu, în special, este un chelner minunat care face tot posibilul pentru a ne asigura o experiență grozavă.

Calitatea Mâncării:

Mâncarea la Casa Veche nu dezamăgește niciodată. Iată câteva dintre felurile noastre preferate:

Ciorbă Rădăuțeană: Această supă consistentă este mereu bogată în arome și reconfortantă, perfectă pentru a începe masa. Paste Quattro Formaggi: Această pastă este un vis pentru iubitorii de brânză. Pui Caramelizat cu Orez Basmati: Puiul caramelizat cu orez basmati este un amestec plăcut de dulce și sărat. Bruschete de Somon sau cu Roșii: Bruschetele cu somon sau roșii sunt mereu proaspete și pline de savoare. Sarmale cu Ciuperci și Mămăligă: Sarmalele cu ciuperci și mămăligă sunt o reinterpretare delicioasă a unui fel de mâncare clasic. Papanași cu Ciocolată sau Gem de Prune: Acești papanași cu ciocolată sau gem de prune sunt un final dulce pentru masă. Înghețată cu 3 Arome: Înghețata cu trei arome este un desert răcoritor pe care ne place să îl împărțim. Salată de Pui: Salata de pui este ușoară, proaspătă și perfect echilibrată.

Raport Calitate-Preț:

Casa Veche oferă un raport calitate-preț excelent. Porțiile sunt generoase, iar prețurile sunt rezonabile, având în vedere calitatea și experiența oferită.

Concluzie:

Casa Veche este restaurantul nostru preferat din motive bine întemeiate. Mâncarea este excelentă, serviciul este de top, iar ambianța este minunată. Fie că ești localnic sau doar în vizită, Casa Veche este un loc de neocolit pentru o masă de neuitat. Așteptăm cu nerăbdare...

I'd call this a hidden gem. Don't get fooled by the outside, as it's an old building. It's as with humans, it's the inside that matters 😜.

That said, it's a really enjoyable place, with a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

Polite and mild mannered staff. I changed my mind after I had ordered something and the servers agreed to change my order without any issues.

Food was excellent. I had beef goulash which is basically a stew of meat and vegetables with various condiments. It was really tasty.

The location is premium. You're literally in the heart of the city. You're within walking distance to landmarks, bars, pubs, other restaurants, you name it.

All in all, it's a yes from me and I'll definitely dine...
