Biserica Franciscana Este unul din cele mai vechi și semnificative edificii din Cluj. Inițial pe acest loc a existat o mai veche biserică romano-catolică, prima din Cluj, ridicată în secolul XI-XII, dar distrusă în timpul primei invazii a tătarilor din 1241. Actuala biserică a fost ridicată în perioada 1260-1290. În anul 1728 franciscanii inițiază o campanie de restaurare a bisericii. Este construit turnul din fațada vestică, în stil baroc și este refacut interiorul prin boltiri tipic baroce.
