Bled Hostel — Hotel in Bled

This is a large hostel really conveniently located for visiting Bled. Dorm rooms are shared and do have air-con which makes them pleasant and showers, toilets and kitchens are clean and spacious. There is also a common room and roof terrace which is nice. The pub downstairs is also good and serves as the 24-hour reception. There are a couple of parking spaces outside too if you have a car or motorbike but it is first-come-first-served. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Most are English out for the summer so communication is not a problem. They are always working and cleaning so you the place is impeccably clean and well maintained. It is mainly a young person's place so if, like us you are a couple of old guys on motorbikes you may feel a little out of place but everyone is super friendly and keen to swap stories. You're not guaranteed sleep and at £30 a head its not the cheapest but its Bled in summer- nowhere is and you can be sure you'd be spending nearly ten times that on...

I spent a few days over the New Year Holiday at this hostel and I have to say that the staff absolutely MADE my New Year.||The hostel is about a 5 minute walk to the lake, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the kitchen is really well equipped or prepping your meals. ||The onsite pub is one of the highlights: It is lively and fun, it attracts a lot of locals, and the drinks are priced reasonably.||As my title says, the absolute gems of this hostel are the staff. Best thing: Denis and the rest of the team are so much fun and make you feel like family. I was truly sad to leave because I had so much fun hanging out in the bar with all of them.||Denis also gave me some fantastic recommendations for the greater Bled region that made made my stay extraordinary. Yes, location and staff are good and friendly, but the hostel could be better. The room was very noisy in the late evening because of the bar nearby. Also there are only 2 toilets (toilet and bathroom in one room which isn't comfortable too) for the all hostel. Kitchen is closed until 10 pm to 8 am. The second toilet is near the kitchen so it's closed too after 10 pm. But early check out ( before 8 am) is possible. Reception is located on the bar. WiFi works good. Towels are free. Hostel is clean. Overall this particular hostel is not bad, if you are ready to hostel living in general.
