Sometimes you spend ages researching the best restaurants only to be disappointed when you visit. Other times you stumble across a great place entirely by accident. Our trip to Spica fell into the latter category. We were heading to a different pizza restaurant in Bled but came across this one en route by complete chance and thought we'd give it a try. The terrace was packed out because they had a live band but service inside was surprisingly fast. We ordered a couple of pizzas and a couple of burgers. Pizzas were large and perfectly cooked in a proper pizza oven whilst the burgers were an absolute delight. Cooked rare (as requested) with a BBQ / caramelised onion-style marmalade in a wholemeal bun, my burger was better than many I've had in the US. Prices were very reasonable given the inflated prices in most Bled restaurants. The burgers were just under 11 EUR each. It has a relaxed sports bar vibe that makes a nice change from many of the other restaurants in the area.

My family and I decided to have our final meal before returning to england - here despite scepticism at the prices. We had the fried chicken (with fries), beef soup (one with and one without pancakes), ravioli and sausages. The food was delicious and unexpectedly filling however strangely dissimilar to the photos on the menu. The soup did not come with bread or spoons initially but they were very willing to provide them when requested. My biggest complaint was simply the quantity of pancake in one of the soup portions; it was unneeded and soaked up the broth. The wine and beer were delicious. The servers were friendly and accommodating of both the fact we hadn't booked and that I had a gluten intolerance. Overall this restaurant was an incredibly enjoyable final dinner however not for people short of money.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I've not eaten such a bad dish in ages. It all started with the male waiter who was unfriendly, didn't guide us to our table and just dropped the menu's on the table. The menu did look good so all was forgotten. During our order the waiter didn't ask if I wanted anything to drink, which is pretty unsual as my friend did get a drink. All fine, that can happen, but with the attitude it was already very annoying. We ordered some soup and a schnitzel, which only had the option chicken as the veal was not available. I asked for fries instead of the baked potatoes for my schnitzel. After our order the menu's were directly passed to our neighbors without any corona cleaning. The soup was served very fast and the Mushrooms Soup smelled and tasted a bit like rotten meat, but it was reasonable. In the mean time I had to ask for a drink. After this we got the schnitzel served. It was a mess, there were fries on my plate for 6 people and the "baked" (read fried) potatoes were soaked in grease (I could do my hair with it, see picture). The schnitzel was dry and very tasteless. It was awful. We finished half our plate and wanted to go home. After 20 minutes of waiting for someone to come to us we desided to walk to the bar and pay there. The male waiter shouldn't be doing a job like this if you can't satify your customer even a little. Now 1 hour later our bellies are hurting because of the awful food. Adding to this we had to pay 45 euro's for this discusting meal with disgusting service. Never ever go here, please.

As a hotel employee in Bled, I have been recommending this restaurant to our guests for the past three years, sending guests their way based on positive feedback and the convenient location. Today, I decided to try the restaurant myself, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the wait staff were very friendly and put in a good effort, the overall dining experience left much to be desired. To begin with, there was a slip of paper from the kitchen on my soup plate with drops of soup all over it, which was unsanitary. For my salad, I was not asked if I wanted dressings/condiments and nor were they provided. I therefore had to go look for them myself. The food quality was also subpar. The chicken in the salad was overcooked and very dry, and the burger meat was similarly overcooked and dry. The dumplings were decent but bland and not particularly impressive. I also felt that the ambience was ruined by the impatient kitchen staff, as they could be heard unnecessarily over-ringing the order bell throughout the entire dining experience Given this experience, I will no longer be recommending this restaurant to our guests. I am truly disappointed. I have attached the receipt as proof of my visit.

We ordered Pizza for takeaway. We were already surprised about the prices as they are on the level of cities like Zürich or inner city Paris. We paid 33,18€ for two Pizzas (Margherita and Tonno). The Pizzas were ok but no match to the prices. The absolute highlight was that they charged extra for the cartons (more than 2€). So taking a Pizza home is more expensive than eating at the restaurant. That alone in a nutshell says a lot about the philosophy of the restaurant. Adding to this, the cartons are covered with foil on the inside - this leads to all the humidity staying inside causing the Pizza to be watery in no time. And the cartons cannot be recycled. When the waitress handed me the bill, she covered the item with the extra charge and tried to act as if it was then normal to charge more for takeaway than service at the restaurant. There was a table free but we weren’t allowed to take a seat as the table was not cleaned and dishes were still on the table. It wasn’t cleaned for 15-20 minutes we were there. It was already this way when we entered and still when we left

This restaurant is owned by the former Slovenian rower who represented his country four times at the Summer Olympic Games, so it’s unsurprising its interior is decorated by wooden rowing boats & oars Yet, it gives the place that extra wow factor for any guests that are into rowing! Staff are nice, helpful and welcoming, The large wood burning fireplace adds to the character We drunk locally brewed dark ale ‘Black woman magic’ and had grilled chicken straps salad with lamb lettuce, rocket, tomatoes & feta cheese served into a a warm tortilla backed in a form of a salad bowl. Very tasty food served in portions fit for tired rowers 👌🏻😋🔝 For pudding we shared the tastiest traditional Yugoslav krempita I’ve tried in a long time 👌🏻💫
