Wine Tasting Bled - Slovenian Wine — Attraction in Bled

A highlight of our time in Slovenia. Boris is a true ambassador for the wines of Slovenia and wants everyone to discover them. Even if we were only two in our group, Boris still hosted us and provided the fascinating and entertaining wine tasting with some interactive games and a helpful wine map. The 7 provided wines were interesting and delicious and Boris’ explanations brought them to life, along with the very good cheese, prosciutto and bread and oil provided. He’ll offer you the option of a chocolate and wine pairing tasting as well - definitely worth it and interesting. All in all a very worth it activity that’s should be a must when in Bled. My wife and I had an absolute blast doing the Wine Tasting in Bled.

Let's start with our host Boris. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all of the wines and has great stories to tell about the various regions where the wines come from. Not only that but he is very friendly and entertaining.

Next...the venue. You descend into a more than 100 year old wine cellar which just enhances the entire experience.

Finally, the wines. We had never had Slovenian wine until our tour and we were blown away. Absolutely delicious.

The wine tasting was amazing! Boris is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the region and wine. I booked the day before, and my husband and I ended up having a private tasting. We opted to add chocolate (yum) and also added 3 extra wine samples once we were there — one of which was a favorite! We also had lots of snacks, like local cheese, bread with pumpkin oil, and olives. We bought a case of wine before we left, and it was very affordable—all bottles under €25!
