Recommended by our airbnb host, we made our way to the 100+ year-old pub/restaurant for lunch on a cold rainy Tuesday public holiday. Waiter was quick to seat us down and spoke good English (he lived in Canada), and took our orders when we were ready. Through his interaction with other diners and us, he was friendly and funny. What can I say — the pork chop with onion sauce and roasted potatoes was AMAZING! Unfortunately my husband ordered that, so I was stretching my arms half the time to steal the onion sauce. I ordered veal roast with mashed potatoes, it was good though not unforgettable. Mashed potatoes were slightly under-seasoned but nothing table salt and pepper couldn’t fix. The onion sauce was such a winner, it also went well with my plate and I would have loved to exchange my regular brown sauce for it. Gave 4 stars cos I wanted to order the homemade rice soufflé but had the hardest time trying to get the busy waiter to take the order. He was swift in getting our bill though 😕🤷🏻♀️

Was on Christmas here. Traditionally decorated interior with lovely small details and the soft yellow lighting made my stay quite pleasant. The waiter is really friendly ( always in good mood:D ) and speaks many languages fluently. Service toooop ☺️ The food is not amazingly delicious but already above average. I ordered a calf dish, it doesn't have that unpleasant"flesh flavour" and is soft and tender. The seasoning of sauce tastes typical for meat meals (like you can get this kind of sauce in most traditional european restaurants for most meat dish es like this) but good and isn't too salty. Don't really like the sauer vinegar hint from potato salad but it does balance the fattiness. My herb tea is also visually and tastily enjoyable. All in all a great meal, the food is not 5 stars level but I would really like to come here again:) 4.5 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ PS: need to wait for a while after ordering; not a choice for vegetarier or vegans.

One word: perfection. We stumbled upon this little gem of a restaurant in our first night in Bled and we didn’t leave any more. Four nights in a row, four nights we ate here and every time they somehow managed to top themselves. Even during the most crowded hours, seating and service is unbelievably fast, the waiting staff is kind and attentive, they welcome you like you’re family. We tried a lot of the dishes, my boyfriend was most amazed by the grilled trout, I liked the veal best. The boiled walnuty dessert is to die for, so is the apple strudel, one portion was more than enough for two people. Draft beer is also of high quality, our personal favorites are in the picture included. We are already looking forward to coming back here whenever we visit this area. Thank you for one of the best eating out experiences of our lives!

We stopped in for a quick beer and had too much fun with the manager who served us. Wish we could have spent hours here as the staff were hilariously funny. We had taken the bus from Ljubljana to Bled, and after hours of sightseeing we went to catch our bus back and had 45 minutes to kill. After sticking our heads inside we found an intriguing bar and decided to have a beer. The manager/owner(?), was quick on the draw and had a fantastic sense of humor. We didn’t have time to eat, though it was early afternoon and people were coming in to make reservations to eat. They explained to us that it fills up in the evening so I’m assuming they are quite the destination for good food. We just loved the atmosphere and people, our kind of bar!

The food here was good, classic Slovenian dishes. I especially enjoyed the Apple Strudel, which seemed quite popular. I ate here with a friend, and we got the dumpling appetizer, the mushroom soup, side of vegetables, Slovenian wine, and venison tagliatelle. The venison was delicious and well cooked. I like that they started their best dishes and recommended wine to go with the entrees. They also bring out bread. They have nice indoor and outdoor seating (albeit no view), and the outdoor is covered in case of rain. We found street parking easily, free after 8pm. However, our night the service was quite slow as the restaurant was very busy, despite it being a rainy Tuesday. Come with patience! Our waitress seemed a bit overworked.

The outdoor seating is lovely and peaceful. Service is great. The food comes quickly and is so delicious. We got the domestic sausage and potatoes, and the venison goulash with tagliatelle. It was all so good and tasted like comfort food. The espresso was good too. My favourite food in Bled. Edit: I came back here again because it was so good. This time, ordered the veal and mashed potatoes with onions. The veal was slightly tough but the sauce it came with was delicious and the mash potatoes with onions was a highlight. Also got the čevapčiči, a plate of sausages that came with onions, mustard and a very delicious red pepper sauce. This was also very delicious.
