Now we didn't know anything about Bled cake prior to coming to Bled but once we got there you couldn't escape it and to be honest I am thankful for that. This is a small local place out of the centre on a nice residential road that we walked past and we noticed it was mainly locals inside so we thought we would give it a try. It's what you would expect from a local shop it's nothing overly fancy however it's everything tasty. You order at the counter then grab a table which I am happy about but making a decision on what to order is the most difficult part. I went for the Bled cake then we also got a fruity cake. The bled cake was brilliant tasted fresh and home made and really good texture and ingredients. The other cake was delicious really tasty again it tasted like it was home made and bursting with flavour it was also really light and didn't leave you feeling like you have had a gallon of sugar afterwards. We also got some coffee which as every coffee we tried in Bled was brilliant it seems to be a good town for getting coffee in. Service was friendly and we had a table in the outdoor area which was nice it just has a really nice friendly feel to the venue. The toilets aren't for those of height or size down a thin circular stairs but that adds to the fun. All in all a really good place to grab an outstandint cake or ice cream and enjoy a coffee at a reasonable value away from the tourist traps.

Sweets galore!!!! Cakes, puff pastries, cheesecakes, ice creams. I think they have it all. Okay, admitting to you, I had 2 different desserts! 😱 Yes, I did! I didn't realize they had Tiramisu until I was halfway through my cheesecake 👀!!!! Now, instead of telling me maybe next time, my husband said, get it! 🤨.... really? This is not a trick? (Hey! Don't judge me! I'm on vacay and I'll be back on carnivore when I get home) Okay! 😁 and anyway, we have to walk about 12 minutes back to the car, so, we'll walk it off! LOL! The staff was really helpful and friendly. They obviously do a lot of business, there were a bunch of people coming in after we sat down. The prices are definitely more reasonable than some of the places closer to Lake Bled. We got 2 cheesecakes, 2 cream cakes (which is a local stable, so everyone must try), and 2 coffees, that was only 24 euros. Understanding, their version of cheesecake is not like we have in America, it was okay, but ours back home, pretty dog on good! Tiramisu, good, but, NO ONE and I mean NO ONE can compete with the tiramisu I had in Venice ❤️Semplicemente Fantastico!!!!

We had to visit here to get a slice of the famous Bled cream cake as we had read this is the best place for it. If walking from the Lake, it is uphill so we arrived a sweaty mess as we were there in the heat of late August. However, it is air conditioned so we cooled down fairly quickly! We shared between two adults and two teens, two Kremna Rezina and two what I think were Bombica - basically a giant Tunnocks teacake. They were massive and delicious. Very very sweet, and I think a better match with the coffee the adults chose than the homemade lemonade the kids went for (which used flavoured syrup and weren't the authentic lemonade we'd hoped). There are toilets down a winding staircase which might be hard for some to access. All in all a successful cafe trip and would highly recommend. Everything looked delicious and if we'd had more time in the area, we would have returned for a try of some of the other cakes.

They say that contentment mostly depends upon your expectations. In this case I think this cake shop may have been over hyped. I decided to visit after seeing the glowing reviews in various travel guides, reading the hundreds of gushing five star reviews on Google and after a recommendation from the hotel owner where we were staying in Bled. The cake is pretty good but doesn't really stand out as being either exceptional or original. There are very similar cakes elsewhere in Europe and any half decent patisserie in France serves things that are equally tasty. At 3.50 EUR for a plate of something that is 90% cream I also thought it was a bit on the expensive side. Am I glad I tried it? Yes. Would I go back? No. Should you go any try it? Definitely... it may not be an amazing cake but it's still a must-do activity in Bled.

Visited here to try the local famed cream cake. It was excellent! The staff were generally friendly, I think you get a better reception if you make an effort to speak Slovenian. They make a great coffee and have a range of dairy free milks. There’s a large selection of cakes and baked goods. Stuff like the croissants tend to go very early in the morning, so get there early! They stay open quite late, so there’s always a chance for dessert! Theres loads of indoor and outdoor seating, you shouldn’t struggle to find a seat unless it’s exceptionally busy. It also looks like they do bespoke cakes go order 😍

Completely different taste of Kremna rezina than I’ve tried at restaurants closer to Lake (officially suggested by tourist organisation to taste traditional cake). It is not bad at all but it tastes different. If you want to pay less and get it fast it will be the right place for you. If you want to taste tradition cake with high quality of ingredients you should walk somewhere else. The first and last layers are not so crispy. The white layer is made from whipped cream not from cake cream ( smetana/vrhnje/pavlaka ). The yellow layer it is not made full of milk. I think they are mixing with water.
