Villa Pomona — Hotel in Bled

The villa is beautiful - great location with easy access to lake bled within minutes. The interiors are very tastefully done and the owners were generally helpful.

However, maybe because it’s a new hotel the customer service and hospitality could be improved upon. We were booked into a suite during our stay and yet had to ask for a number of basic things like proper housekeeping, cleaning of room bins, replacement of water / cutlery etc. also, breakfast is not included in the room price which is rare especially for the price you’re paying. We did eat the hotel breakfast one of the days but it was quite average.

The air conditioning is centrally controlled which meant even if the room for extremely warm in the middle of the night (which it did) we had no way of changing the temperature to make it comfortable. Even after asking for it to be changed next day we had the same problem at night as it was just very warm after a hot summer day. Stayed in Villa Pomona for a weekend. A truly lovely and luxurious villa. The rooms are spacious, clean, the amenities are great, and the whole hotel has a wonderful charm to it. Zoja especially was a wonderful host and very accommodating. There were lots of small touches that made the stay feel extra nice. Amazing place! Villa Pomona is a very well restored villa from 1905. It combines the good old vibes with high standard modern services and technology. It has only 4 rooms and an amazing garden with pool so it is perfect if you are looking for a calm stay away from the crowds. It is located very close to the centre and 5 min walk from the lake.
