Guesthouse Marko — Hotel in Bled

We stayed at Guest House Marko for the 4 nights of our trip in Bled. From the minute we arrived, Marko was nothing but kind, helpful and easy going! |Our room, bathroom and the common room and kitchen were spotlessly clean and also cosy. There was everything you could possibly need throughout the guesthouse, everything was supplied from kitchen utensils/ coffee machine to a hair dryer and wine opener in the room. We arrived late at night on our first night, and even then Marko greeted us so welcomingly and was very informative about anything to do with the area and our needs. He even parked our rental car for us in the drive away to make it easier for when we needed it the morning we left..|The location was the best part, the lake and all the amenities were a nice 5 minute walk. The bus stop is also around the corner. Space for car parking too. |Thank you Marko for making our trip, we couldn’t have been happier...

We were staying just a few days in the Bled Area and more by chance than good booking found this very helpful place. It gave us exactly the perfect mix of staying in accommodation with assistance and having a place of your own, meaning: Marko will direct you to everything that you need: good restaurants, sights and hiking trips. But you have also the possibility to cook (although we maybe would've loved some sharp knives and a wooden spoon for the pan - this would've helped not to scratch in the pan :/ ) and live the day in your own rhythm. We stayed for one night in this b&b. We travelled with the motorbike and we were at ease with the safe parking, behind their gate. The guesthouse is within walking distance to Lake Bled and all the restaurants and shops. Marko, the owner is very friendly. In the parking area he has large big cherry trees and we enjoyed picking and eating cherries on our arrival and Marko commented that we can have as much as we want. We found the rooms clean but maybe some refurbishment is necessary to the wooden ceilings because we noted that some areas are worn out.
