Gentry11 Rooms&More — Hotel in Maribor

We visited this hotel for the first time. Our arrival was late at night. The hotel is in a very old building. We had to carry 4 suitcases up steep stairs. The place and the entrance look as if they haven't finished the strange renovation yet. We were shocked to find that there were 2 empty shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower and there was no soap at all in the sink area. We were tired and wrote to the hotel manager that we didn't expect such a welcome and the room wasn't ready. To which he replied that there was soap and shampoo that could still be taken out of the bottle. One towel was damp on a shower head, as they hadn't cleaned it up at all after the previous guests. It was very unpleasant and we asked to credit it for a stay at the hotel. To which I received an answer that if it doesn't suit you, you can leave. This is the first time we've found ourselves in such a situation. Conduct that shames any hotel that respects itself at least a little. And a hotel that doesn't respect itself won't respect its...

I’m so glad we stayed here. Even before checking in, Andreja had helpfully sent me some suggestions on local parking solutions and good restaurants. We loved the time she took to welcome us and tailor some ideas to our preferences, not just trotting out the basics.||It’s such a homely vibe, with starlings even nesting in the light fixtures inside! The room was really relaxing with lovely homely touches. Aesop products were fab (although one of them was empty - no matter) and we loved the gin flavouring bottles. The bikes were very much appreciated for a canal cycle and the breakfast option was so generous in portion size! ||Saying goodbye to Maribor and Slovenia was made harder by our lovely...

· I was impressed both by the room amenities as well as the service. We arrived close to midnight after a very long drive. We were provided with very good instructions for accessing the room. We appreciated the drinks in the mini bar as well as the complimentary cookies. Even if we arrived so late, we were able to have a nice drink on the balcony and enjoy our evening in Maribor. This was refreshing after the loooong travel and it put us in a great mood for our vacation. The room, even if small, has great amenities. I particularly appreciated the Aesop soap and shampoo, as well as the nice slippers. On our next trip to Maribor we will definitely choose Gentry...
