Emona by Aura Guesthouse Ljubljana — Hotel in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

When we arrived the instructions about where to find the place etc was fine, and it looked as if to be a clean enough place. First we noticed that if anyone only opens their door the sound travels and it feels as if they are right outside the door. Bathroom In the second floor was so tiny so we used the one in the floor below which again was okey. ||The issue started when we returned after going out to eat, I placed my pants on the closet, when we returned it was crawling with spiders (see pictures). I managed to get the pants inside a bag and get it out to shake off the spiders.||At night I got a bit paranoid and had to check on top of the closet and again there were many of them so I started killing one by one before finally relaxing.. untill my girlfriend noticed that there were some still on the side. To my horror I discovered a small nest(!!!!) of spiders, which looked like a dustbunny at first but was much more terrifying.. we ended up staying the night because it was so late and we were unsure if we wanted to walk around Ljubljana at night in order to search for another hotel. ||If you stay here check the room for spiders, however you might find an airbnb or a hotel a bit closer to train station and center for equal or a bit more money. This place was not at all as advertised. We visited in summer when it was 85-90F and there was no fan in the room. The only thing available was the window with no screen and a mesh curtain which did absolutely nothing to keep bugs out of the room. The room itself was extremely small, could barely fit 4 people (not as advertised). The futon meant for 2 people was extremely hard and not at all comfortable. The futon wasn't even set up with linens when we arrived even though the host was well aware we had 4 people in our party. Bathroom on the second floor was too small to use by any normal sized person and had no mirror. We were so uncomfortable that we ended up leaving in the middle of the night and moving to a hotel. When notifying the host of this, we were asked not to leave a negative review which would explain the current 4.3star rating. We also did not receive a refund for the nights we did not stay. As soon as I entered this hostel, I immediately knew I did not want to stay here. First, there is no front desk/concierge/reception to guide you when you enter the building. Our room was extremely hot, so we opened the windows to attempt to cool it down. The windows did not stay open, so we had to tie the blinds to a chair in the room for it to stay open. Additionally, the windows had no screens, so bugs got in our room and I had multiple large and itchy bug bites the next day. There are only two bathrooms in the whole building, and the bathroom on the second floor had no mirror and a shower about 2 feet in diameter (too small for any normal person).
