Das ist Walter - Center Ljubljana — Restaurant in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

Toni served our table very well, the food was first class. You can watch a movie with subtitles related to restaurant's name inside, while eating. The TV is muted, but there's regional music playing on the speakers, with regional food and workers hospitality, you can get to feel the culture. We tried sausages, bean soup, čevapi, cheese čevapi with regional bread and salad. Nothing interfered with another, created tasteful plate instead. Toni kept maintaining contact with us, making sure we aren't lacking anything.

IT IS A SHAME ! When we arrived, the waiter asked us if we were students and when we answered yes, he said it would be perfect for us to take the student menu, which we did. When it came time to pay we were told that the student menu was in fact reserved only for Slovenian students and we were charged double the menu plus chips which we had never ordered. Of course we spoke only in English with the waiter so he obviously knew that we weren't Slovene. It is a SHAME to make money...

Glad we decided to visit Das Ist Walter during our stay in Ljubljana. It's a little out of the way from the main attractions, but worth the trek. Huge portions of delicious Balkan food with an interesting atmosphere and friendly staff. We arrived on an empty stomach and were both stuffed after leaving.
