Believe the good reviews! This is one of the best museums I’ve ever been to, we wanted to get a good background on Ljubljana’s history before spending more time in the city and this really set the stage even better than we expected. From Palaeolithic to the Hugo’s lab war and even contemporary celebrities, we understood where we were standing even more. And it was incredibly interactive for all ages, you can touch, smell, play and listen (lots of items have accompanying narration that you can listen to with headphones) which also makes it really accessible too. Overall SUPER fun, we spent almost 4 hours here, definitely worth it. Not to mention the temporary exhibit, it was also really lovely and well put together. I have nothing bad to say except for it being a bit poorly ventilated, so maybe avoid on a...

I have never been more drawn into a room with art in it. Amazing...

Unless I missed, it there wasn’t a great deal on Yugoslavia but the exhibition ‘1495 Days’ which covers WWII, was very good. Lots to read, listen and watch. Only negative for me was a child’s interactive ‘make your own star’ involving hammering a a piece of metal on a wooden log. At first we thought it was a loud video of a firing squad or emergency work taking place on a Sunday. The sound reverberated around the whole exhibition. Not really in keeping with the atmosphere of an...
