Cinnamon Boutique Hotel — Hotel in George

While Cinnamon Boutique Guest House may check all the boxes for a 5-star rating, it unfortunately is in need of an update. The suite, though spacious, features outdated furniture, and the bathroom is in need of a complete renovation. A few quick fixes like replacing the old shower heads and other accessories would be a good start however the hotel itself is in need of a bigger refit. Uniform stone floor tiles throughout the entire hotel, along with the brown checkered carpet in the rooms and tired carpets in the corridors and communal areas, evoke a 90s aesthetic. The pool, surrounded by beautiful plants, is small and visible from the lobby, making it less enticing for relaxation. The price we paid (in high season) compared to similar properties in the area seems high.

Situated near the main road, with a SPAR and gas station as neighbors, the hotel lacks a cozy atmosphere. However, one can quickly reach the beach and restaurants on foot.

Although the hotel itself was a disappointment the level of service was top notch and we can’t praise the helpful staff enough. Hopefully with some investment from the owners the guesthouse will get back to...

My husband came here on his own several years ago when traveling and was so enthusiastic about his experience that we had to come back together, and it did not disappoint! The B&B itself is on a beautiful property, well-maintained and surrounded by jungle but still easily walkable to the main town. The rooms are huge and plush, with comfy beds and all the amenities you need (even epsom salts for the bath!). But by far the biggest reason to come is the lovely service. Anne was there to greet us personally, we were given a tour and a free upgrade to our room - arriving felt like a warm hug. Everyone was so nice an accommodating with lots of recommendations and flexibility when we needed it. It was a little too cold for the pool, but I particularly loved the "honesty bar" where you could pour yourself a free welcome drink or an end-of-night sherry on a chilly day. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. We wouldn't stay anywhere else...

Don’t even waste your time and money, expecting a five star hotel I was miserably mistaken and disappointed. Room was not cleaned properly. Heated flooring didn’t work. Shower turned over cold within two minutes with my hair full of shampoo. It’s terrible but the service was good and they fetched my laundry. Good friendly people and great massage chair but I’d never go back. If it wasn’t that late I would’ve checked out and left immediately. Doesn’t deserve a five star rating , I actually want some sort of refund because I spent over two thousand two hundred at the doctors with medication after getting sick and needing the doctor, ruined my entire holiday. Rather go to Beach Villa Hotel instead which is a five star hotel five minutes away, trust me you won’t regret it because the people and place is phenomenal. I extended my trip simple reason...
