Good for solo travellers, but there are better options nearby.
The Superior Double room was very small - great for a solo traveller, it would be tight for a couple. The small lifts up are shared with 2 busy restaurants, expect delays in the evening. There was constant water running noises in the walls. Walls are thin and neighbours can be heard easily. The hot water was intermittent while showering and the entire bathroom is a wet/splash area. If you want it cooler than 25⁰ tough, not allowed to use the AC - heat only, and the room wouldn't go below 24⁰ because of the central heating. Bed was rock hard and pillows were thin. No hotel amenities, very basic and bare bones. TV channels available were limited, but it's not the type of room you'd want to spend much time in anyway.
I'm usually pretty tolerant and easily pleased. I asked if I could eventually move to a different room where their signage wouldn't light up my room at night, their reply was "no refunds". Didn't want a refund, just didn't want to spend 8 more nights with it looking like it's 10am outside at midnight.
I forfeited the last 4 days of my booking and went to the Stanford for a couple nights before heading to the L7 in Hongdae - both places were easily 5x better value and cost less than Line charged me.
Speaking of prices, I was charged avg 260,000KRW/night. I understand that the Christmas/NY is charged at a premium, but their current rate of 140,000KRW/night would imply the premium nights were far exceeding a reasonable 2-2.5x premium. They were not able to provide a receipt with individual night charges for me to compare.
In hindsight, I should have compared different hotels and perhaps broken my stay up among different hotels instead of trying to book the entire stay at one.
As I was leaving, there was another couple checking out early to go somewhere nicer who'd also been overcharged. None of us even asked for a refund, but handing over our key cards we were told "no refunds". I guess they get asked it a lot.
Housekeeping was nice and friendly.
It was convenient to the Euljiro line, but any hotel between Myeongdong and Euljiro stations (which are only an 8 min walk to each other) are accessible enough. There's no need to be right next to the station like I see...

This hotel is in the most ideal location. Stone’s throw from Metro station (with luggages to drag along, it is very conv.) Stone’s throw away from Myeongdong night street market, Lotte mall and restaurants and convenient stores and pharmacy.
I have read about the 4th floor units and those without windows so am prepped for it. Room is really small which I am not too bothered about it (got the 1 full and 1 single bed unit). But if you are a person who is claustrophobic, then the no windows unit might be a bad idea.
The unit does not have a separate Shower and Potty area so once you shower, potty gets wet and it does not have a seat warmer potty so I’m the winter, it’s cold and since there are no windows, the toilet has to ventilate and cold air can be felt in the shower area. It drys up pretty fast though overnight the shower area/floor.
The toilet potty in my unit cannot flush properly after I do my “business” only use the Necessary amount of toilet paper and it still overflowed!
The sink was also stuck and the shower floor was also stucked. Told the front desk and within 10mins, the facility guy (who kept apologizing for the inconvenience) came to pump the toilet bowl, removed paper debris stuck in the sink and replaced the floor filter. All 3 were resolved immediately which was great but the toilet bowl issue came back again (didn’t overflow but could not flush entirely) after my son did his “business”. That was our last day at the hotel and we just told front desk to get it fixed before the next customer uses it when we checked out. Hope it was resolved.
Overall, I loved the location, the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel and for the price I paid for that location, I shouldn’t be complaining much but I guess I will be willing to pay a little more for a separate shower and potty area 😜 and a slightly more...
Read moreIt is a very small youth hotel, popular among youngsters and those looking to socialize. We needed to suddenly extend our stay as my other hotel was fully booked, and I chose this one based on reviews, location and some pictures. It appears decent, but the star ratings are not accurate. Upon entering the room, a distinctive smell is noticeable, and while it looks clean, there's no detailed cleaning beyond the sheets. Under the bed is quite dirty, with broken glass and other debris. The room is super small, and when you shower, everything gets wet. The staff is helpful but often seems rushed. If you're 18-25 and plan to use the room mainly for sleeping after late-night outings, it might be okay. However, I wouldn't recommend it for families accustomed to US or European standards. The room I stayed in seemed like it was converted from a server room, lacking windows and safety precautions. It could be challenging for families with kids, but we managed to sleep okay despite feeling exhausted." among students and those looking to socialize.
