Would not recommend this place, unless you don’t mind paying money to unethical business owners who bully tourists.
We had some difficulty finding the place, as it was located on the second storey of a building. When we finally found the place a few minutes before 8.30pm, we were promptly seated by a female waitress. She did not inform us that the restaurant was closing at 9pm until AFTER we had made our orders. (Yes, sign was posted by the entrance but we did not see it.) The point is, they could have informed us that the restaurant closes at 9pm, and we would have to vacate the premises. I naively thought that they would be kind enough to let us finish our food. Food was served quickly, and we also tried our best to eat as fast as we could. We were almost done by 9pm, and were finishing up. The waitress went to the kitchen to complain loudly in mandarin to her colleague in the kitchen about us. Kitchen staff came out and started telling us off in mandarin “didn’t we tell you we knock off at 9pm?” We stared at him in complete shock as we had never encountered such nasty level of service before. He continued “it’s no use looking at me.” We asked if he wanted us to leave without finishing up, to which he said “yes, we close at 9pm, if you weren’t Chinese (nationals) we wouldn’t even have told you before this!” Firstly, we are not from China. I don’t really understand the subtext when someone tells me they “knock off at 9pm”. It is okay to tell me nicely once more, we were almost done by then. It is more the manner it which it was communicated to us that was appalling.
As for the food, it wasn’t mind-blowing, just average. They don’t seem to care if you enjoy the food, the feeling is that they are just interested in taking your money. I feel disgusted that they would rather the food be wasted.
The female cashier/manager(?) wasn’t any better, she was probably in on the plan, giving us a fake “thank you!” as we left.
I’ve met really nice Chinese nationals, but these people are not it. This whole place just felt scammy and scummy. So unless you don’t mind horrible service and average tasting food, please spend your...
Read moreHaving meals several times in this restaurant and it is famous for the Korean chicken soup! However, this restaurant establish a very bad habit that they do not allow 1 person to seat near the window seat ! Even they have plenty of window seats! They seem wait to wait for the group of customers but even no more customers they also won’t let you to seat close to window. I had encounter this more than 3 times and this seem their unfair regulation.
Honestly, pls don’t expect they will treat you nicely but indeed carry some discrimination inside!Especially the keeper that old lady, 1 person they even wanna kick you out of there and they will be only happy for group or more people or you look like a Korean or real Korean.
Next time if you go to visit alone, pls be prepared they will put you into kitchen or toilet to eat ! Joking but indeed not a pleasant and respectful experience!
Photo! See they still got window...
Read moreUsed to patronise this store whenever my family and I visited Seoul. So far we have been to this restaurant for two years as the food was not bad.(it was deteriorating) On our third trip this december, we experienced really rude and bad service upon entering the store. As paying customers, i believe we have the right to sit at places that we want to if they are available. They seated us at a center booth with two seats empty at both sides. When we wanted to switch seats to be at the corner seats (my sibling and i have social anxiety and prefer sitting alone), they moved our side dishes back to our original seat. When we suggested to a staff a window seat that wouldnt be shared with anyone as the other customer was just leaving, she shouted at us and told us “NO” when we suggested politely. We ended up not eating here as we were super disappointed with their service and how they treated us. Would not...
