The hostel is conveniently situated in the heart of Myeongdong, making it an ideal location for shopping. Finding the hostel can be a bit challenging as it is situated on a street adjacent to the main street. However, it is conveniently located just a 5-10 minute walk from Myeongdong Station. Please note that there are a few stairs at the entrance of the hostel before reaching the elevator. If you have heavy luggage, it's important to be aware of this. Additionally, during our stay, the restaurant located downstairs was undergoing renovation, which resulted in a dirty environment.
Although the room is on the smaller side, considering its price and central position, I have no complaints. The bedding is brown in color but appears to be clean overall. The bathroom in our room is tidy and doesn't have any unpleasant odors. However, the design of the bathroom lacks a separation between dry and wet areas. The sink and shower share the same tap, so you have to be cautious when using the sink to avoid getting wet from the shower.
One thing to note is that we had to dispose of our own trash in the common area, which we weren't aware of initially. Additionally, there was no room cleaning service during our three-day stay. Unfortunately, we discovered a cockroach as we were leaving, likely due to the garbage we left in the room.
On a positive note, the staff provided a welcome snack upon our arrival and check-out and allowed us to store our luggage on the last day. Although we didn't have an opportunity to have breakfast, it's worth mentioning that they use reusable utensils, which is...
Read moreI stayed in a single en-suite. Paid USD$76|Pros: |1. Easy to find, just follow directions given by the hotel|2. Food (lots of street food) and shopping just outside early in the morning till late night.|3. Quiet though it’s in the busy area. Can hear soft sounds of neighbours closing door and if they talk very loudly but nothing unbearable.|4. Kind and friendly staff who helped with my luggage.|5. Comfortable bed and floor space big enough for a yoga mat.|6. Thoughtful amenities like mini fridge, free hot/cold water, pantry, tissue, 2 dustbins, mirrors.||Cons:|1. Like what other reviewers said, smell of sewage from bathroom but you can only smell it when you go in, doesn’t leak to the room.|2. Gotta wait quite a while for hot water in the shower.||Overall a good place which I will stay again. Take note if you leave your luggage overnight you pay...
Read moreCleanest hostel I have ever experienced. Location is spot on, its all along the shopping and street food area which we love! We even have a free breakfast (toast, cereal and drink) that the kids look forward everyday. The reception staff is very accomodating and friendly. We even got a freebie check in/check out treat goodies that we appreciate. The room we got was decent for a family of 4 and a kid friendly hostel. You got all the basics you need even a hair dryer, shampoo, body wash and towels. The only thing is, when you go via Uber or taxi, they can't go in the actual hostel's street at night time as its busy with market stalls etc. Not a long walk anyway so not a biggie!! Highly recommended will book again here when we get a chance to visit South...
