The service was exceptional.  The staff really care about ensuring guests have an enjoyable and unforgettable trip and this hotel is SO CLEAN thanks to excellent cleaners and maintenance staff . Location: This is a great hotel for anyone who enjoys walking (beach is about 10 mins away) . There are many resturants, bars and shops within walking distance and a supermarket in the mall on the hotels doorstep (for anyone who wants a non-all inclusive board). There's also a lot of car rentals available and parking which we noticed on our daily walks. Location is 10/10 plus it's the much nicer side of tenerife (more civilised with golden sands at El Duque). A little tip...if you have an iPhone you can download the tenerife bus app which will give you all the information you need to travel via public transport. Its a completely safe area (as long as you are not oblivious to your surroundings). My mum and I did many evening walks until past midnight with no issue whatsoever. Everything is well lit and the area the hotel is in is very easy to navigate. All inclusive: my mum and I went all inclusive as this was a really last minute and short trip, but next time I will stick to bed and breakfast as there are so many options available for people who enjoy getting out and about. Having said that the food at the hotel was ok and differed every evening (personally all inclusive is just a bit too much food/drink for me). One of the evenings we did make a dinner reservation at Bombay Babu which is on the hotels door step, so you are defintely not confined to the hotel if you want something different. There's a market selling all sorts opposite the hotel on Saturdays (about 10-2pm) if you fancy a browse. There are designer shops around the hotel and down the very small hill on the way to the beach. Kids: The hotel caters incredibly well to small children. We didn't have any kids with us but we could see how well entertained they were and the animation team were fantastic. Main dining hall: Julian in the main dining hall was an excellent host who put a smile on our faces every morning (all the staff were so efficient, too many to name). The only recommendation I have is that the chairs located outside/patio have some sort of felt applied to the bottom of the chair legs. Reason being...when people move some of the chairs it makes a very unpleasant noise because of the metal.  But that's a minor adjustment. The bar tenders were amazing, Alberto was lovely & efficient and Pedro was always an absolute pleasure to talk to and very professional. These guys know how to run a busy bar with ease still making every guest feel special. Cocktail mixtures could be improved but everything else was fine. There's plenty to suit everyone's taste. Pools: There are two pools, one larger pool by the bar where you'll find most guests and a small one towards reception which had such lovely beds for free on a first come first served basis (on the beach beds are €55 for the day and sun loungers are between €6-9 each per day). The smaller pool is also ever so slightly warmer than the large pool if you're looking to visit during the winter months. You can hire towels for the week from reception by giving a deposit which is refunded on checkout. Room: our room was in block B , we had a view of the mountains from one patio and a view of the larger pool and coast in the distance from the other. I can imagine it gets noisy during peak times, however we visited 10th-14th Feb and it was just right, weather and people wise. Not too busy. Entertainment: changes every evening and is similar in all Spanish hotels catering to families. All in all, would I stay here again?.....Yes due to location and staff/service. I've been fortunate enough to travel most of the world, so my comments are genuine when i say the service in this hotel is something they should be proud of. Love to All,...

Just teleported back from a 10 night stay at Hotel El Duque.||||We came with a crew, 7 & half adults 3 kids and a baby.||||Food||Breakfast was the best meal of the day, IF HASHBROWNS was on offer! typically went downhill as the day went on - found evening meals to be quite poor! You won’t struggle to find something to eat, but you’ll struggle to find something to digest.. can still taste the fish stew||||Drinks||Drink choices was decent, staff very generous - yea right serving in 200ml plastic cups! Enjoyed my two swigs! Tip - put your straw in your wet pocket, it’ll fall out the cup when you walk ||||Staff||Staff were brilliant, couldn’t fault any of them. Apart from the bar staff, who refused to serve my 8yr old a double whisky & coke which was obviously for me! I was still in bed but it was 11am I was AI!! Big high five to the pool cleaners, always let us sneak in to reserve sunbeds while they mopped round us.||||Rooms||We had the superior apartments in fantastic location that was really convenient for our group (right by the pool, restaurant and reception.) The rooms were spacious, clean and simple. Even had mites running round the cupboards, was a nice touch! The kids gave them names! Bathroom was quite dated but it was fine.. once I worked out how to control the water temp in the shower! The double bed was too singles pushed together which wasn’t great, and the sofa bed was quite uncomfortable, so I spend 3 nights on the sunbeds.. two birds one stone 😜||||Entertainment||Ismael & Katrina work really hard and it can be a tough crowd! Darts is kiddie plastic darts and Board, very annoying but still got my winners certificate! Beat this 7yr old chubby Scottish boy in the final! My favourite entertainment was the balding guy with the dissolving shorts prank in the pool, poor guy had his mushroom on show for all to try see 🕵🏻‍♂️||||Location||Perfect, walk straight out into the shops, not too far away from the beach and popular bars/restaurants. Over the road from Costa Adeje markets and a bus stop, including the free transfers to and from Siam Park which I’m still waiting for it turn up.. ended up pushing to the front of the queue to get a taxi. ||||Cleanliness||Seen reviews saying this hotel was spotless.. a kid emptied his bowels in the pool and we had Spanish pigeon squirts on my balcony everyday! Rubbish was always left all over the place, Pool area mainly..guests should take responsibility but I only saw one tiny bin. I’d definitely have someone clearing this area out before the evening entertainment took place.||||People do freely smoke here, but no one ever has a lighter! I was fuming! There are no smoking signs around but staff don’t enforce it or carry a lighter! They also don’t police anyone being overly drunk, which I appreciated because the Yorkshire Tyson fury look alike and his scouse ginger sidekick gave us plenty laughs! ||||Sunbeds||What is the drama!!! No problem getting a bed, just put towels out before you go to bed and ignore Karen glaring, easy peasy! ignore whatever reviews you see about this. There are plenty! Just be a ninja! 🥷 ||||Overall we had a great time, would visit again for sure. We did know what we were in for so keep your expectations in check is all...

Absolutely loved this hotel, we are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children (12&15) and we loved every minute of our stay. ||Location- great location close|To the Beach, shops and restaurants in Costa Adeje. Beware if you have mobility issues getting down and back from the beach may be a challenge but can get a taxi for €4. We walked it most days and found it fine.||Cleanliness- beautifully clean hotel, apartment cleaned everyday and every morning staff can be seen cleaning the grounds and pool areas. Tables are cleared quickly and staff are very helpful.||Rooms- we stayed in a superior one tome apartment and it was lovely. It had a huge balcony area, with table and sun loungers and was well equipped. The kids had a sofa bed and another pull out bed and were more than comfortable all week! The main room had 2 large single beds pushed together which we found really comfortable, only observation I would make is that ot|Would be nice to have a mirror in this room , and also the water from the air con simply comes out of a small|Pipe direct onto the balcony which could be dangerous if you didn’t see it. But we didn’t think this a huge issue. Overall|Loved our room ! ||Entertainment- my kids are too old for the mini disco or kids club but what I saw|Or both looked great and they would have enjoyed it if they were younger. There was activities around the pool daily however would like to have seen more around the pool area and music all day would be nice. However this wasn’t a big deal for us. The evening entertainment was good and we really|Enjoyed it on the nights we stayed in the hotel for the evening the whole family found it good! |||Pools - there are 2 pools a smaller|One and a big one, both are lovely and clean with plenty of space we didn’t struggle at all to get loungers all week! No sunbed wars at all! ||Food- food was good is it Michelin star grade food? No ? But there was plants of choice each evening and pretty standard all Inclusive food, we|Found breakfast to be the best, lunch they did hot dogs and burgers and other things but could be a bit hit and miss. Evening meal was always loads|Of choice and mostly fresh. We really enjoyed it and have 2 very fussy eaters!! We tend to eat out a few times in the evenings on holiday wherever we go but did enjoy the food when we ate in the hotel. There is no snack bar which is a shame but lunch ran from|1-3 so you could grab something if you wanted to through out the day. I’ve cream is flavoured ice cream in tubs and they do have others you can pay for. Maybe more choice here would be good however we still enjoyed it.|||Drinks - plenty of selection, cocktails are pre made but we still really liked them and there is a good range so something for everyone including iced coffee!!||Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay again, we found all staff really helpful and found the hotel to be well|Situated and clean. Will...

We recently returned from a 7 night stay at this lovely hotel. We were greated at reception in a welcoming manner and were directed to our room straight away. We were staying in a studio room which from experience are usually quite small, so we were very surprised with how spacious the room was. The only down side to the room was that the ceiling fan was above the living area and not very powerful, we were able to hire a fan at the reception for €25 for the whole stay. After reading some reviews we weren't sure of how good the food was going to be but when we got to the restaurant we were surprised with how much of a variety of food there was to choose from. At some of the evening meals there were themes like the first night there was a Chinese theme, during the week there was also a Spanish and an Italian theme. The quailty of the food impressed us as it was regularly refreshed. Breakfast was serverd from 7am-10pm, lunch was served from 1pm-3pm, Evening meals were served from 6.30pm-9.30pm and the all inclusive drinks were served from 10am-11pm everyday. The hotel has 2 pools which both open at 10am and close at 6pm, there was no shortage of sun beds even though the hotel was quite busy. The service provided throughout the hotel was fantastic and the hard work of the bar staff was excellent as even when busy you were served quickly. The drinks in the all inclusive package were varied, there were house wines, beer, spirts, soft drinks and cocktails were available aswell as a variety of other drinks. You were also able to get ice cream from the bar all day. I would recommend you trying the banana licor as it is a drink unique to the canary islands. There were only 2 problems that we really had during the week and they were that the floor in the room was very dirty and didn't get cleaned once during our stay so I would recommend wearing socks or keeping shoes on. The second problem was that when the cleaners came they would take the half used toilet roll and not replace it this happend 3 times and all 3 times we went to the reception but the problem never got sorted so in the end we ended up going out to buy toliet roll. However The rest of the room was cleaned daily including fresh towels provided. There is also a safe available in the room at the cost of €26, 10 of which is given back when the safe key is returned. On the final day the wrist bands are cut off at 12 when checking out. You are able to buy all inclusive until 6pm on the final day for €10 per person which works out well as lunch alone in the hotel cost 12 euros each. There is also a luagge room available and you are able to book a courtesy room to freshen up before departing for the aiport. Overall we would like to thank the staff for an enjoyable stay and we would deffienlty like return in the future.

The staff at the hotel from reception staff at check in, restaurant/bar and cleaners were all brilliant and amazing with the children, rooms were a good size and very clean and cleaned every day, the only problem was the shower head moving around so I had to tie my hair bobble around it, no air con in our room and the ceiling fan did nothing, the sofa beds were not comfortable either and one of them was just the corner of a sofa. Now for the rest of the holiday not so good, alot of the main pools tiles had come off and many loose small tiles all over the pool floor, my oldest son had a couple of cuts on his feet but my youngest son sliced his toe which did bleed alot, fortunately I am first aid trained and with help from the life guard we clean and stopped the bleeding and didn't need emergency treatment, we then heard quite a few children and adults had been cut in the pool. They do have a smaller pool but due to the state of the big pool this was very busy and with my children being advanced swimmers the small pool was not great, if you are visiting anytime soon get swim shoes... The all inclusive food was pretty much the same every dinner and tea time, not alot of choice, the food it's self wasn't what I call bad but very bland and needed seasoning, the breakfast finishes at 10am but the pool bar didn't open until 11am so for that hour you aren't able to get drinks so make sure you get water from the supermarket. The cocktails are pre made and not nice, the entertainment was mostly singers and not great for children, one of the nights they had a magician on and he was brilliant, the kids mini disco was good, the songs were all different languages so very inclusive of all children, not much seating in the entertainment area either so we had to pull sun loungers out to sit on. Costa Adeje as a whole wasn't great for us, this hotel is around a 20 minute walk from the beach, souvenir shops, bars and restaurants, we then had to walk up a very steep hill back to the hotel which in the heat was a killer, the beach is black sand so very hot and burns so we were not able to play on it with the children

The scenery is nice, but nothing else is. For starters, we booked a suite with two separate bedrooms, and instead received 1 bedroom and a living space with a sofa bed, which is annoying but manageable. The all inclusive isn’t exactly all inclusive. There is no free snacks, or anything to eat other than when specific meal times are. The meal times are also quite inconvenient. The food is terrible, and very boring. Same food every day and it’s dry and tastes old. Unless you like dry fish and dry inedible burgers, then you won’t enjoy it very much. Occasionally there was a tough bit of veal being cooked, which was more edible, but it was still not very nice. We also got very sick a couple of days in, which may not be their fault, but could be related. Some of the staff were incredibly rude and ignorant, and basically dirty looked you just for asking for a drink. However, there was 1 lovely bartender who was very kind, however I am not sure of his name (dark brown hair, quite tall, very friendly guy). The receptionist was also nice, but nearly every other staff encounter was bad. The rooms are not good, but are reasonably spacious, however don’t book a balcony room and expect a balcony. We got a room on the bottom floor with a bit of a post around an on-floor patio section. It is also far too hot, with no air conditioning, and only a fan that is near enough non-functioning. It felt like it was 50 degrees every night. We’ve also heard reports of cockroaches in rooms, however I haven’t encountered one myself, though it’s definitely made me on edge. Location is fine enough as it’s only about a 15 minute walk to the beach, however at night it’s seedy and seems unsafe to go out alone. Overall, this hotel isn’t the best in the area, and should definitely not be marked as a 4 star. I’d advise booking elsewhere for the same price, as this was far too expensive to be like this. If I could refund and never experience this holiday in the first place then I would. Wish I cancelled and stayed home.
