Casino Playa de las Americas — Attraction in Adeje

This is an excellent little casino, just down on the beachfront towards Costa Adeje. It has two halves – there is a less formal gaming room with slot machines, video roulette and a bar and, adjacent to that, a slightly more formal gaming room, with table games, bar and a few more gaming machines. The whole place opens at 11am, although I don’t think they do table games until 7pm. In theory you need a passport/ID to access the more formal side and it says it has a dress code, although I didn’t necessarily see that being strictly enforced – take my words at risk…

Personally, I like gaming machines, so the informal area was perfect for me – to the right as you enter. There are perhaps 20 machines in there and they have quite a good range – Gods of Olympus was good, with it’s coin bonus feature, and they also had Queen Cleopatra, which offers a Cover Bonus – similar to coins. Best for me was to discover they had Lord of Atlantis (Posedion!) which I have a soft spot for.

The machines work on a handpay bonus – you press the Cobrar button and someone from the cash office comes over and hands you your winnings – just wait for them to come after pressing the button, they will.

Luck was up and down, and I did see the machines pay out quite a bit – no Major bonus this time though.

The bar was good – a couple of beers was five Euro and you didn’t have to leave the gaming room to get them. Also toilets on site.

The more formal side I did go into once to play the machines in there – it’s a bigger room with carpet and the gaming tables are off to the right when you enter. The machines in here were not particularly memorable, so I can’t recall what games they had.

I would visit this casino again. Never once had to show any ID to enter and didn’t have to become a member either – although I suspect that is different if you want to play the gaming tables. I don’t like people enough to want that sort of interaction...

Everything was fine until I got a problem with roulette machine.

The problem is the screen of roulette machine has freezed during my bet time.

Precisely, I was playing in the beginning of the bet time and then suddenly, the screen has freezed. It means I can’t play or cancel the bet I did during this bet time. As if by chance, before to end the bet time, the machine has worked again. it played the bet I played in the beginning without I could edit the bet because the screen was freezed. This was a quiet big amount played.

I lost money because of the machine, not by myself. I’m fair to win and lose. That’s the casino.

Then I went to complain about this problem to the staff and the head manager. The head manager told me “the machines are perfect since over 10 years, they work very good”. He was kinda closed minded to understand my situation. That’s why the machines are so perfect, that the number 808 of roulette machine was turned off in the beginning of the week of 21/07 ;)

I didn’t play since this problem for proving them, this was a problem with the machine. The head manager kept a speech like it’s my fault and the machines this is no problem.

Even some foreigners asked what’s wrong about me. I answered that the screen of my machine has freezed. They told me also it happened to them.

The conclusion is I lost the money from the dysfunction of the machine which...

They won’t pay if you win! I went here a couple of nights ago as I regularly visit casinos at home and when abroad. Rude, inattentive staff that don’t know the game they are running. I played a bit of poker with the locals who were friendly but getting chips was a joke… some sort of treasure hunt where I had to walk all over the casino to buy slips and then add on my chips on the table afterwards. I then went to roulette where I was playing my usual neighbour bets. After playing for around 20minutes, one of my big numbers came in with €100 on it which should pay €3600. I was then told that the max bet €50 per number yet I had played 20 spins before this exceeding the max bet and was continually allowed to place it. The dealer or manager who was monitoring the game had said nothing before this time and were dumbfounded as if they didn’t understand English all of a sudden. The situation got very heated as they hadn’t paid me out correctly and were trying to push the game on as if nothing had happened.
