If you want to immerse yourself in the Spanish emotion and enjoy their delicious food - this is the right place. The establishment is in a small street next to the central square. We visited on a Friday night and it was full of Spanish people laughing and enjoying life. They found us a table by the entrance and we could see all the people coming in from the noisy street. The service was great. The waiter, a smiling young man with a sense of humor, asked every time he passed us if we were feeling well and if we needed anything. The dignified lady behind the bar looked at us and if we looked around for a waiter she immediately sent us someone, even though the restaurant was full. The food was very good. We ordered a lot of things. Here they offer mainly meat dishes. They have three portion sizes - tapas, small and normal portion. This makes it possible to try more dishes. At the end of the evening we were treated to a sherry each. They are great. The prices are very good. If you are in Jerez,...
Read moreA charming place and a near perfec dining experience - strongly recommend for coeliacs/ gluten free options! Almost the entire menu was (or could be adapted to be) gluten free, and even though the waiter did not speak English he seemed to understand our limited mix of Spanish and English well and it was obvious that he was very knowledgeable about the needs of people with coeliacs disease. For instance he assured us that the oil for frying was not contaminated by gluten and he could list gluten free ingredients used as substitutes for flour. Additionally service was friendly, attentive and mostly quick. The choice and quality of food is way above your average Spanish restaurant, with a lot more to offer than meat/fried seafood. Lastly the price was very acceptable as we ended up paying about 50 euros for a 5 person lunch (not including...
Read moreThe staff were extremely unfriendly to us, served other people who arrived after us before us and even gave them the table we were supposed to have without explanation. The only friendly person was someone who I think was the owner, she seemed well mannered and attentive after having waited in the bar for 15 mins without a single waiter asking if we wanted something to drink whilst we were waiting, and watching others get served. I didn't want to stay and eat there just on that note, however my friend insisted because the restaurant had been highly recommended. The bread came half way through the meal- I had to ask for it and I had to ask for things over and over again because the waiters 'kept forgetting' to bring what we had ordered. I certainly would not recommend this place to anyone who values good...
