I very much enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Travelling alone I was made welcome by the staff - Susana on reception was SUPER!
The food in the hotel was excellent. From a business perspective I think it’s important for hotels to get the room service food perfect at the start and then you keep ordering it ! On top of my included breakfast I had two dinners and three lunches at the hotel because the taste and presentation and service was very good.
The town centre is a 15-20 minute walk but coming back by taxi was never more than 5 euros, so I got quite lazy and just taxi’d in and out to spend more time by the pool.
Some people looking for “luxury” might find this hotel a little quirky or rustic, certain elements of it had a posh youth hostel vibe but overall it was a beautiful setting. It felt like staying in a house, and even drinks come from a cabinet by the library - I enjoyed this energy but some less imaginative guests might prefer a more modern place - I didn’t use my TV once.
The pool wasn’t great, but fine for cooling off in - and I felt like they could have looked more stylish with just a few sun loungers instead of so many empty ones, but the gardens were beautifully attended to.
I had a couple of visitors during my stay and the staff were polite and discrete about that, and I came home quite drunk one night and they were absolutely fine about it too - you get what you pay for!
I would definitely stay here again if I had to go to Jerez, I have just arrived at my hotel in Cadiz now and I miss the friendly service of Villa Jerez - thank you for...
Read moreWe loved our two night stay here. We were very impressed with the reception staff, helpful, friendly and accommodating. Our room was large and very quirky. The bed was very comfortable and we had a huge bathroom. Our only complaint was a lack of terrace but some of the rooms have these. It was great to have a coffee maker and kettle in the room, as well add complimentary water. |The pool was lovely but the area around it can get quite crowded. People were leaving towels on sunbeds which is annoying. The pool is quite small but we enjoyed swimming in it. |Breakfast was excellent, buffet style but with lots of choice, great orange juice and lots of fruit. |We are in the restaurant both nights which we were impressed with; excellent food and superb value. My vegetarian diet was well catered for. |The walk into Jerez was easy - lots to see there, a...
Read moreLovely hotel that once was a Villa. Our room was nice and big, clean, comfortable bed also a large balcony overlooking the beautiful pool and garden area. Breakfast was included which was adequate for us, did not eat there any other time, but the menu looked good, the bar closes at 11 in the evening. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful even around the pool, lovely for relaxing after a very hot day of sightseeing in the town which is about a fifteen minute walk, with plenty of places to eat, especially Tapas. Plenty to see and do in Jerez, to us it was like a small Seville. We also took the train into Cadiz which took approximately 45 minutes. Would definitely recommend Villa Jerez for a place to stay while visiting Jerez, must also mention the very friendly staff , always...
