It was the our first time in Madrid. My girlfriend and I had booked a three nights stay at the casa de Ada&Valentine. However we ended up staying for five nights! ||I have been to many hotels but never have I had such an incredible experience as the one that Ada and Valentyn have to offer. ||Let’s start with the basics: |The rooms : they were cosy, homy and nicely decorated. Also they were very clean and come with a decent sized bathroom We really appreciated the new bed sheets and towels every day! The floors are beatiful wood panels. Overall the hotel looks really nice! ||The location: you really can’t do any better. Inbetween the old town (historic city center) and the vibrant Chueca district the hotel is in walking distance of the historic monuments, great restaurants and shopping areas. (The building itself is a beautiful one! Lovely nostalgic elevator inside:) ) ||Now let’s talk about Ada and Valentyn since they are the reason why this stay was such a treat! |They are by far the best host I have ever had the pleasure to meet: kind, welcoming, informative and full of energy! ||With an extraordinary attention for detail they offer freshly pressed orange juice and fruits in the morning, know to recommend the right attractions and spectacles, monuments and restaurants. They really take their time to explain the city, it’s dynamics, the restaurants, the different areas and the transport and so on. I could go on an on about just how great they are. ||You will most likely not find any host quite as incredible, as passionate, as welcoming as Ada and Valentyn! They truly love what they are doing and are brilliant at it to! ||We decided to stay two nights more than planned because of ada and valentyn. |Thank you so, so, so much for the memorable experience! We will be back soon!! |||Oscar...
Read moreI stayed one night at La Casa de Ada and Valentyn. It was wonderful. ||Ada and Valentyn were very welcoming. I had a little challenge locating the place but they answered my phone call and provided fantastic instructions in perfect English. Valentyn gave me a nice map of downtown and offered to explain the highlights. He helped me locate my Segway tour meeting point.||The location could not have been better. It’s on a main pedestrian street a block or so from the center (with the bear statue) interspersed with cafes and stores. ||The room was a cute old fashioned setup with a pleasant modern twist. They had a heater provided should you be cold (I was plenty warm without it). The bathroom and overall room was very clean with fresh towels provided. The elevator was old fashioned but functional and in good condition. I wasn’t sure how to use it at first but I was provided with excellent instructions and assistance hauling my luggage up the stairs after my first failed attempt at navigating the lift. (It really was quite simple - you just had to call to the floor and make sure to manually close the doors.)||They also served a small breakfast with orange juice, croissants and tea (or coffee if you prefer).||Overall, I strongly recommend La Casa de Ada and Valentyn. Good location, clean room, WiFi and great...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Madrid for a short 3-night city break. My wife noticed La Casa primarily because all the reviews were 5 star. We were not disappointed!||||Valentyn's wife, Ada was in Argentina when we visited, but he looked after us wonderfully on his own. We can't really say enough good things about La Casa, its location is at the centre of the city, yet the room we were in was peaceful, beautifully clean and like the rest of the apartment very tasteful.||||Valentyn himself is a charming Dutchman, who is very knowledgeable about the city and spent a considerable amount of his time recommending places for us to visit. In our experience all his recommendations were justified and greatly enriched our visit to Madrid. ||||We loved Madrid and we will no doubt return in the not too distant future. We will not be looking elsewhere for our...
