1. Extremely unclean room. Found dirty sock near the bed and extremely dirty table.

2. The owner and receptionist aren’t courteous. The hook of the curtain came off while I tried to shut it and I informed at the reception. The receptionist immediately said “Guests play with the curtains and thats why it breaks, we will need to check it”. The owner came up to the room and found a rip in the curtain and assumed that I ripped it off and said “OMG this is bad, you need to be careful with the curtains”. She just assumed that I ripped the curtain despite explaining it was already there.

3. They advertised that the property has an outdoor swimming pool and hot tub but in reality there is no swimming pool and have just a hot tub which operates only from 4-10 pm.

4. They advertise a 24 hour checkin counter but their counter closes at 10 pm and they didn’t inform me about it in advance. I stood outside the property for 30 minutes before my calls were answered as the door to property had been locked. I did send them messages earlier but they said that they received them late.

5. The property is located a 15 min uphill walk from the main area so be prepared to walk. We did struggle quite a bit as we had a young baby.

I did love the Matterhorn view from the room but the view doesn’t not make up for the horrible treatment.

Update - Response to late checkin procedures. I didn’t receive your messages until after midnight, I do believe thats not your fault but rather the system being slow. I do however would have appreciated the staff informing me a few days in advance instead of sending message that same evening as you do advertise as 24 hour front desk which is incorrect and I couldn’t have anticipated...

We stayed there before COVID but just got around reviewing it on google after someone reminded me of this horrible experience. Anyone booking this hotel/B&B, should be aware of their wrongly described rooms. This hotel is surrounded by buildings on three sides and a road in the front. To be able to see anything you need to clear the roofs of surrounding buildings and need to be on 4th or 5th floor (in total 8 rooms on these two floors). We had an alleged Mountain View room. You need to be a contortionist to be able to see any mountains and only visible from one particular corner of the window. This can be best described as city view room in a decent hotel. Yes the hotel is new and swanky but don’t be fooled by pictures. Rooms are incredibly small. Our main issue was the lack of heating control. There is no way to manage the heating in the rooms as it is centrally controller underfloor heating. It was very difficult to sleep at night when room is so hot and you cannot open the windows due to noise from outside being on the main road. The reception shuts at 10pm and no one is present in the hotel after this time not even a night porter or security personal. Therefore the atmosphere is very morbid after that time and any decent bars etc are bit of a walk. Generally, we found the staff unhelpful, or not even present to help and had serious attitude problem. I would not reserve an apartment at this place as they ask you to cancel later. I reserved a flat for four adults, and they ask me to cancel as I am coming with a baby who will be only 12 months and 10 days.

It’s a scam, and I reserved in January already. Only now in May only 15 days my trip they tell me I cannot use the flat that was advertised for four people with possibility to bring a baby! They tell me reserve at another place, but it’s not possible to reserve at another place in Zermatt on such a short notice, a good place on my budget is not possible anymore! This is why I reserved on advance!! A complete scam, I wouldn’t recommend it at all! Don’t reserve at this place as you might get your travel plans completely spoiled!

You answer is absolutely not true, even until now I can see in Booking that the flats for 4 persons have free cot available! On the other hand, when I was paying in booking stated "Price for four persons with free cot available" which means that the price was for either 3 or 4 adults and a baby! Even now, I can see that I can book a flat for four adults and a baby and the price does not change whether there are three or four adults! In addition, I was willing to pay more if needed for one person extra, but you asked to cancel the reservation 10 days before the actual dates!
