Mixed Experience: Great Staff, Good Food, but NO Airconditioned in Premier Room
I recently stayed at this hotel with my family during CHRISTMAS, and while the overall experience had its positive aspects, a significant issue left us with a less-than-ideal stay.
One of the highlights of our visit was the morning reception staff who were incredibly kind, accommodating, and proficient in English. Their warm welcome set a positive tone for the day, and we appreciated their efforts to make our stay enjoyable. The culinary offerings at the hotel were another positive aspect. The food was not only delicious but also exceeded our expectations. The dining experience was definitely a highlight of our stay.
However, the major downside was the absence of air conditioning in our Premier Room. Despite paying for a more upscale accommodation suitable for families, the lack of AC proved to be a significant inconvenience. The room became excessively hot, making it uncomfortable for both us and our baby. Consequently, our little one was restless, and our attempts at a good night's sleep were thwarted by the stifling heat. In an attempt to address the issue, I contacted the night receptionist early in the evening, around 6 pm. I requested a room change, as I suspected a malfunction in our room's air conditioning. To my surprise, the receptionist informed me that the entire building was without air conditioning. Skeptical, I randomly asked guests on other rooms, and they confirmed having functioning AC in their rooms.
This inconsistency left me perplexed, as it seemed that the hotel's policy or procedure for addressing malfunctioning room amenities was unclear. In other hotels, it is common practice to relocate guests when essential facilities like air conditioning are not working properly.
While the exceptional service from the morning receptionists and the delectable food were positive aspects, the discomfort caused by the lack of air conditioning in our Premier Room overshadowed our overall experience. For a hotel, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests ismost important, and we hope that the management addresses this issue to enhance the quality of...
Read moreWe felt very welcomed at this hotel. The porter came to our cab and immediately helped us with the luggages and bags. Check in was good and fast. Location is very near to Big City and breakfast eateries. The staff even told us where we could have our breakfast since our room booking didn't come with breakfast. The room is clean but the beds are quite small. I booked two double bedded room but the bed was so small that there was no turning place and my child kept knocking into me once he turned on the bed, waking me up several times. ||||The reason for my two star rating is because I booked the room here for two reasons, one for it being near to Big City and second reason for the coin operated laundry. When we enquired at the front desk, the staff told me that their coin operated laundry has changed from coin operated to a one time payment of NT400 which was ridiculous. I don't know how much they charge previously but this amount is not reasonable to me. I intended to do my mid trip laundry there to last me through Taipei but apparently, I was unable to and I had to lug the dirty clothes to look for another laundry place when I reach Taipei the next day. There might be cheap laundry near the hotel but we were only staying for one night, to be exact, we checked in at about 7pm and will check out at 8am the next morning. Coin operated laundry is the only way for us and we do not have time to sit down to google on where to find coin operated laundry shops around because we still need to go to Big City right after our luggages arrived in our room.||||And the next morning after we checked out, there were many staff standing in a row near the door but none of them bothered to help us (not even my small boy who was pulling a cabin luggage down the slope). Maybe they think that they won't be getting tips after we check out so no point helping out. ||||I believe the two bad points are good enough to deter us from coming to this...
Read moreOne of the best hotel I ever stayed. Even though it stated that it is 3 star hotel, I felt that it should be a 4 star hotel. The room issued to us come with a bathtub, the toilet bowl comes with auto bidet seat. The room size was big, clean and the bed was comfortable. The view from the room was nice and we could see the city of Hsinchu. Super plus point, the drinks at the fringe were free for us as guests. What a nice gesture by the hotel. The staff is very nice and friendly. The customer service staff will take time to explain the facilities available in the hotel. timing for buffet breakfast, where to go for breakfast, how to scan your card to take lift and reach your room. Especially when returning hotel late in the night, the staff at the counter will watch and ensure only guests are taking the lift. Feeling safe staying in this hotel. Even the chambermaid will leave her name card and advise guest to call her if we need any assistance regarding the room. The breaskfast served was super great. Taste delicious and nice . Plus A lot of variety available to choose. Another great thing, it is located next to a mega shopping centre, Big C. Plus, it take less than 5min of travelling time via bus to HsinChu TRA station. Will visit this hotel again when next time I visit...
