We spent one month here, seeking a place where we could get away from the busy traffic we heard at night from a nearby boutique hotel. Walking along the street, we were impressed with the gorgeous courtyard entrance and beautiful appointments adorning the entrance. On a dare, we went in, not expecting to afford the nightly rate. Our good fortune was with us. We were quoted a rate that was within our budget...breakfast included. (And the breakfasts were incredibly hearty and varied, brought to our table-clothed tables in stately charm). ||The incredibly nice and always cheerful Wilawan Kantree at the front desk gave us an extended tour of the grounds, where we saw the breathtaking architecture, the regal study, the dining room, the convenient and immaculate toilets, the pool, exercise room, and strategically placed quiet areas near fountains where couples could chat. And the entire establishment was kept spotless! Our timing was good, so we had a choice of several available rooms, and we fell in love with ours. We had several extended trips throughout Thailand, from the southern islands of Koh Samui and Koh Chang, to the northern provinces encompassing Chang Rai and the Golden Triangle, but we booked rooms at the Villa every time so that we could return to be with our "friends," including Wilawan and the sisters taking care of the front desk. Being there so long, we et others travelers similarly delighted, including single ladies, families with small kids, and honeymooners. A...

It felt like we had entered someone’s beautifully decorated home. ||We had four rooms on the second floor and each room was nicely decorated. The use of antiques and local textiles makes each room unique. The rooms are large with great balconies to relax and watch the sunset. Bathrooms were well appointed and super clean. ||The pool sits to the side of the property. It was cold due to cooler temperatures in the evening, but the children still swam and the adults enjoyed cocktails sitting in the comfy poolside chairs. Please note that the hotel does not offer food/beverage service but you are welcome to bring in your own. ||Hotel is in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the Sunday night market, lots of restaurants/bars, and foot massage places. ||Breakfast is included and starts from 7:30 am and ends at 10:00 am. There is a choice of Asian and Western. Many options, we did not go hungry at breakfast! The charming dining room is outfitted with antiques and was a comfortable place to gather every morning. We enjoyed our leisurely breakfast and numerous cups of delicious coffee! ||The hotel provided free transportation from the airport and to the bus station. ||Highly recommend the Villa Klang Wiang! We plan to...
Read moreThe location was great, it was closed to the Saturday night market and lot of attractions. The room was nice and clean however during our stay here the water ran out twice in two days, we were not able to use any water, apparently only the B wing has water, therefore I would recommend not to stay in the A wing. The breakfast was good but the service needs improvement, when there is a lot of people waiting to eat they are often slow and confused on what you order(breakfast customize selection was done a night before). Also recommend not to eat too late, because breakfast close at 10am and their main goal was not to serve food, but to clean the place first. The hotel has free shuttle bus to airport, recommend to reserve via email or front desk. The room is quite noise, I could hear people from next room talking from my room. The one thing good about the room was it offer air cleaner which was amazing. Overall, if just look as the price and quality I will still recommend people who stayed in Chiangmai to stay at this place because you can get a cozy room at...
