Koh Lipe Homestay — Hotel in Ko Lipe

Stayed for three nights. It was a little unclear how to check in, not really a reception desk to be found. But we asked the girl by the garden and she helped us. We could pick whichever bungalow we wanted since we were the only guests. We picked the one furthest from the road, which was a good decision since the other ones are close to the main road and neighboring restaurants. Room was spacious and insect-free except for a few mosquitoes, but that's to be expected in this part of the world. Location is great in my opinion, close to everything but not right in the middle of all noise. A/C worked great.

Would have been great if the fridge was on even when you're not in the room. Would also have liked proper blankets for the bed. Apart from that there's nothing to complain...

Facilities are in bad shape. Wash basin not working for 3 days. Shower has water on and off. Things not replaced in room well and no one to go to to. inn keeper gone most times. |2. Grumpy / Rude Innkeeper. Was in a bad mood for entire stay due to a football sprain. Refused to fix things. Asked me to manage without a wash basin for 3 days. I has no choice but to use a bottle of water as my faucet for 3 days. |3. Noisy. Traffic noise is tolerable. But the innkeeper has a cage full of birds that make quite a racket from 7 AM. Everyone likes birds chirping in nature but this is birds in a cage creating a nuisance. |Island has much better options at similar prices. Not sure why this was so...
