Let's Phuket Twin Sands Resort & Spa — Hotel in Patong

We booked the studio with private pool and sea view. We were quite surprised and disappointed that the pool is not actually connected to your room. It is a private pool and not a far walk, but it is not connected and not so private. You can look over into the neighbours pool or room from the balcony. Also, we had no hot water the first day and had to wait until after 11 for the water to be repaired because the person who could fix it wasn’t in until after 10. The hotel itself is okay, facilities were fine (in the self catering there is nothing, so if you plan on using it you’ll need to get everything (salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc…)). The hotel is quite far from pretty much anything so unless you have a car or motorbike you’ll need to take a taxi or shuttle each way (anywhere from 250 to 400 baht each way). There is a shuttle offered, but it is 75 per person, 3 times a day. Overall it isn’t a bad place and it is away from everything if that’s what you’re looking for, but it is definitely not walking distance to restaurants, bars or other things. Merlin beach is close which is nice and a 5 minute walk. I would probably not book again as there were so many issues in the beginning (hot water, pool is not connected, far from town and gets expensive going...

The location is perfect for us as a family. It isn't in the busyness of Patong yet it's close enough to get to if you want to go in for dinner or to do some shopping. The resort offers a regular free shuttle to Juncelong Mall as well as pick up so you don't have to spend money on a taxi. Even if you do spend money on a taxi to come back to the resort, it doesn't cost too much, especially if you barter them down.

Of you're one who wants to exercise, they do have a small gym that offers you all the basic things you need. Otherwise, running (jogging or walking) the street to Patong (or the other way to Paradise Beach) offers great variation of hills and flat ground. You work up a sweat pretty quickly if you do a road run. 😊

The staff are also friendly and will do everything they can to make sure you are looked after. Blue Mango is the restaurant on site and they have excellent food that is reasonably priced. We didn't try the 180 Spa but they did have daily specials that we should've taken advantage of.

Overall, I would highly recommend this place as they clean and replenish your room supplies daily and they have in room facilities that are great for families like a ln oven, cooking stove top, microwave etc. Would definitely come back and...

Read the horror reviews before my stay & prepared for the worst. But comfy room w mini kitchen/balcony/sofa bed & stairway leading to private pool deck upstairs made my stay really enjoyable.

Reserve your seats(2-ways) for the shuttle bus, its just a phonecall away. Be punctual for the clearly stated pickup times & you'll be fine.

Breakfast not served buffet-style & for good reason. They offer very good quality food. Best Eggs Florentine/waffles i've had in Thailand by far, served freshly made. Serving size pretty decent. Didnt need additional helpings & im a big dude. Ordered pizza in the evening & they didnt disappoint either.

Service wasnt the most spectacular but cmmon, they still sent room service in the middle of a thunderstorm outside within 30mins. Dont expect over-the-top suckup but if efficiency is what you seek, this place delivers.

Location is away frm the bustle of bangla st & patong beach altogether. Zero shops within walking distance but hey, thats why they give you free shuttle service.
