It was acceptable at best. Food was ok, but not too impressed by the service for a restaurant at this tier. Nothing too bad, however:
BEING DISTURBED AND ASKED TO MOVE BOOKING TIME BY RESTAURANT - the restaurant persistently left multiple missed calls when I was in a meeting. When I called back, they had no idea what it was about so I left my number for them to call again. Finally, they called and ask me to move my booking time because “restaurant would be busy”. I do not understand what is the point of reserving a week in advance if the restaurant cannot manage their own capacity. I had to keep the same booking due to several inconveniences.
INATTENTIVE WAITER - We were seated outdoor. There were no bells, so I had to get up every time to call the waiter. No one was tending to our table because they were serving indoor tables.
INCONVENIENT PARKING - Due to COVID pandemic we decided not to use valet service and parked the car at Mahanakhon Cube bldng. The parking staff said the restaurant would be able to “stamp” our parking ticket. We werent given any reminders at the restaurant about parking (which was unusual for a restaurant at the price range), naturally forgot to stamp the ticket, and had to walk back. However, there was no one at the restaurant reception, and the staff that came over looked every confused about parking stamp. I waited 10 mins. Long story short, no stamp available, we had to keep the receipt to show at parking exit. We threw away the receipt already so had to wait for the staff to re-print. This would not happen had we been given correct information from the start.
Today the restaurant left another missed call, I am not sure why. Although the food was ok, and they helped with BD cake and given us complementary small cake..overall, we were not too impressed. The bill was ~THB9.7k for 4 people. Maybe we will wait a while for everything to settle...
Read moreOK folks, be forewarned: this place is a joke. No, I'm not exaggerating. In terms of both food and service, it's a joke. I had dinner here tonight, and it was the worst dining experience I've had in many years. First, they were out of a huge number of the white wines on their list. After asking for two wines and waiting probably 20 minutes to be told no to both, we had to go back and look through the wines ourselves. Then, the server had no idea how to pour wine: no chance to taste before; he just started pouring wine into everyone's glass. The service is absolutely lousy. Be prepared to wave your hand to get a server's attention just as you would in the cheapest Thai restaurant in town. And it went downhill from there. We were told they had everything except one beef dish, yet when we ordered one of the fish selections, guess what? They were out of that, too. But then it turned out they actually had one! Ridiculous service. And none of the food was very impressive. My friend told them he could cook better food at home. We left food on our plates and went home hungry. It's the first time I've ever demanded a discount because the overall experience was so terrible. Do not waste your money here. Go to Taling Pling or Salad Factory. Both are infinitely better. This is not even worthy of being called an amateur operation. That would be an insult to...
Read moreBooked this place to celebrate a birthday and the place didn’t disappoint. Classy setting and top-notch food. We were served by a very nice and genuine waitress (sorry I forgot your name!) who took care of us that evening.
First the appetisers: Cobb Salad was big which is great as most fine dining restaurants offer a little portion to keep you ordering something else, glad this place didn’t do that.
Oysters were served in 3 different ways including raw and cheese baked. Delightful!
Beef tenderloin tartare was the special menu of the day - which means - we were able to witness the chef preparing the dish for us in person in front of our table. The chef was a kind and beautiful lady. Though I prefer slightly more seasoning to the tartare, it was still an interesting experience.
Onto the main course: The Margaret River Wagyu Ribeye 350g was very impressive! It melted in my mouth and I was so glad I ordered this but nothing more as it was just the right portion for 2 to share! This beef was - I dare to say - cooked better than a lot of the steakhouses I tried in Hong Kong.
Side: Mashed potatoes was heaven! Extremely creamy and soft. I could eat this nonstop.
All in all, a great steakhouse to spend the evening with your loved one! A very pricey place in Bangkok standard but the food is well worth it for a...
