Ima start off saying I never seen the pool or ate the food there so I cant judge that but with that being said my experience was real bad with a little bit of good. So I booked the hotel via agoda check in was 2pm I get there at 12 and I'm mildly sick "which turned into nearly deathly sick just a few short days later" so I dont mind just sitting in the lobby relaxing on my phone after about a half hour a gentleman who works there politely as he can without giving away his true intentions asks if I have a room booked I said yes agoda. He said then why dont you check in. I said that sign says 2pm he said you can check in now like I was stupid "I have facial tattoos which even kn thailand can make me automatically assume you're some sort of criminal on occasion which I think is the case here" he also sounded like he doubted I had a room at all so I checked in got my key the lady at the check in wasnt the nicest or poorest but not the rudest either none the less I get to my room and I swear it was the hardest bed I experienced in all of thailand which is saying something and not just the bed but the pillows felt like boulders with 2 mildy comfy but still very solid pillows also room was tiny TV was broken and of course without saying it was loud till 3-4am or 15:00-16:00 but that's just because of location. They're also the ONLY hotel that checked my room before they gave me my deposit back. I traveled across thailand for 31 days never stayed at a hotel longer then 3 nights and that long was even rare this is the only one I felt compelled at all to give a bad review about. Also the old people who work at the 711 directly next door are extremely rude and like to be rude for fun theyll laugh in your face after being rude so keep that in mind I never had such a urge to spit in a old ladies mouth while she laughed at me for something rude that she...
Read moreWe have stayed at Sleep Withinn before with great success. A lovely, clean and nicely managed hotel. Courteous and helpful reception personnel. Rooms nice. Super swimming pool on the rooftop. Other positives include the position of the hotel which is an easy walk from the Grand Palace, the Chao Phraya river and the ferry station # 13. A few minutes walk away from the Lumphraya bus and ferry service office which offers connections and accessibility to many parts of Thailand is another plus. The street outside is well appointed with numerous restaurants and bars which offer traditional and eclectic international food and beverage.||||However, there was one very serious problem. The noise from the street below. It's not the happy frenzy and hustle and bustle sounds that one associates with Bangkok. It was the live music emanating from the street directly below. The issue here is that the live music continued at full volume until after 02:00. This made sleep mpossible. For international travelers such as ourselves who arrived jet lagged from the other end of the planet this was an unmitigating disaster. We left Sleep Withinn in an exhausted state. It is our duty as regular TripAdvisor reporters to make mention of this. And also to appeal to owners and management of Sleep Withinn to do something to control the noise. In business the Thai people are a tight knit community. They have the capability of managing the situation. We are very reasonable people. A midnight cutoff for loud live music would seem reasonable to most people. In summary, the hub hub street noise is well and good. The live blaring music until 02:00 is not - by any reasonable standards. Hence the three stars, not more - although the hotel itself...
Read morePretty good place. The rooms are a perfectly fine size (what are you doing spending so much time in your room anyways!) and the bathrooms are like what I've seen all throughout Europe and Asia. Basic toiletries and a hair dryer are provided, as well as towels. Make sure to bring an extra light weight fleece for colder nights and your own slippers. The Wi-Fi is not good, at all; so, really don't rely on that. Spend the $15-$20 for a Thai SIM with data and you'll be fine. If you need to do actual work on your laptop, I strongly suggest you book at a chain hotel.
The balconies and rooftop pool are an added bonus. Additionally, having a 7 Eleven and ATM right outside - perfect! There are plenty of eateries, drinkeries and a busy night market for souvenir shopping and street food. There's also Susie Walking Street for shopping during the day, and easy access to Khoa San.
NOTE: anywhere in Khoa San is going to be super noisy until 4 AM. It isn't something that the hotel should be scored on; it's a neighborhood thing. Khoa San and Rambutri are known tourist hot spots with 1000s of people, taxi and tuk-tuk drivers shouting, and bars (with music and NO doors) open until 4 AM. If you value your sleep, you need to stay in a different area of Bangkok.
Simple, easy stay and I'll definitely consider Sleep...
