Shoshana Restaurant, located in the heart of Bangkok’s vibrant Khao San Road area, offers a delightful mix of Israeli and Middle Eastern cuisine with a hint of Thai flavors. This charming eatery is a favorite among travelers and locals alike, thanks to its authentic dishes, warm atmosphere, and friendly service.

Menu and Offerings: Shoshana’s menu stands out with its authentic Israeli and Middle Eastern dishes like hummus, falafel, shakshuka, and pita bread. The hummus is creamy and flavorful, often served with fresh, warm pita. Their falafel is crispy on the outside and soft inside, making it a popular choice for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. Shoshana also serves shawarma and kebabs, which are marinated and grilled to perfection. Additionally, for those wanting a Thai twist, the restaurant offers a few classic Thai dishes like pad Thai and green curry, making it a versatile spot for diverse tastes.

Atmosphere and Service: The restaurant has a cozy, homey feel, with simple decor that adds to its relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The seating arrangement accommodates both small and large groups, making it a great choice for solo diners, families, and groups of friends. The staff at Shoshana are known for their attentive and friendly service, always willing to provide recommendations and ensure diners have a pleasant experience.

Value for Money: Shoshana offers good value for the quality and portion sizes of the food. The prices are fair, especially considering the fresh ingredients and authentic preparation of the dishes. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty Middle Eastern meal or a lighter bite, Shoshana caters to various budgets without compromising on taste or quality.

Overall Impression: Shoshana Restaurant is a hidden gem in the bustling Khao San area, perfect for anyone craving authentic Israeli or Middle Eastern cuisine. With its cozy atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious menu offerings, it’s an excellent choice for a relaxed meal. Whether you’re exploring Bangkok as a tourist or a local, Shoshana delivers a memorable dining experience that’s both comforting...

I stumbled upon Shoshana Restaurant tucked away in a small alley, and it turned out to be a hidden gem! This place offers a delightful culinary experience that I just had to share. 😍🌟

The falafel here is absolutely delicious - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. 😋🌯 But what truly stole the show for me was the lamb shawarma. The flavors were fantastic, and the portion size was surprisingly generous. 🤩🍖

Shoshana provides an authentic taste that's perfect for those seeking a new culinary adventure. The owner takes pride in their offerings and even mentioned that their tahini is imported from the Middle East, claiming it to be the best brand. It definitely added an extra layer of authenticity to the dishes. 🌍🌾

What I appreciated most about Shoshana was the owner's enthusiasm for encouraging customers to explore the menu and try new dishes. It's always great to receive personalized recommendations and guidance. 👏🍽️

The only drawback is the parking situation, as there's no on-site parking available. The owner suggested parking at the temple across the road, which is a bit of a walk but definitely worth it for the fantastic food. 🚗🚶‍♂️

All in all, Shoshana Restaurant is a delightful find, and I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic taste of the Middle East in a cozy, hidden...

I am an American who lives in Thailand. I have been eating at Shoshana 1-4 times per week since I moved here in 2018. I have been dining here since 2009. This is by far my favorite restaurant anywhere. It is family owned. There place has the freshest Israeli-Thai food you can find. You can eat inside with air-conditioning or outside with wall fans. You can watch the food being cooked by the entrance outside. I know this place. There are many indoor outdoor restaurants in the area but this food is stored carefully, refrigerated and in tight containers. Nothing is exposed.

Mon and Omar are the owners and Thai and Israeli. They love to talk to their customers so please greet them when you come. I bring all my friends and colleagues here. I even order food through Grab when I am at home. All people from all nations are welcomed here. This is a community restaurant

You can park across the street in a big lot. Motorcycles can park on street. It is almost next to Khao San Rd. There are coffee shops and even a Starbucks on next to it. Shoshana is in an alley way. Just walk straight down and it's on the right. The menu is packed and homemade pizza and cold beers are in there too.

By the way, the bathroom...

We saw this place on Google and decided to come and try, the restaurant was nearly full what is great that means that the food is fresh. We were very welcomed by the staff and ordered drinks straight away, the staff knew how to speak proper English and were very friendly, we have ordered the shakshuka that came with pita bread and then the chicken schnitzel with mash potatoes and Israeli salad both dishes were great, the schnitzel was freshly made you could literally tell by the texture and flavour as well as the mash we were so satisfied and decided to order something sweet also and opted by the alfajore cookies which were made with condensed milk, coconut and butter cookies was also delicious but a bit overpriced. The mains were actually quite affordable as well as the drinks. The service it was great and fast. The place had outdoor and indoor seating available but we choosed to stay inside because of the air con.

Tucked away in the busy market area, Shoshana Restaurant is an Israeli gem in Bangkok that delivers both authenticity and heart. Their hummus is hands down the best I’ve had in the city—smooth, flavorful, and perfectly paired with warm pita bread. I opted for the lamb meat, and the owner personally confirmed it’s halal, which makes this place an excellent choice for Muslim diners. The tabbouleh was fresh and zesty, the pita soft and warm, and the coconut water made for a refreshing touch alongside the rich flavors. Service was top-notch—the owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel more like a guest than just another customer. The atmosphere is lively, thanks to its location in the market, so expect a bit of a buzz while you eat. If you’re in Bangkok and craving authentic Middle Eastern food, Shoshana is a must-visit. Come hungry, and definitely don’t skip the hummus.
