I'll start with the positives. The hotel is located in an ideal location in the Beyoglu district, if you're going to Istanbul, this is a great place to stay!
Everything is within walking distance, walking around the area is a pleasure. Very polite staff, always say hello and ask how you're doing.
Cons: Our room is on the 3rd floor, and the neighbors slammed the door terribly loudly, we never figured out whether it was the residents or the cleaning service. We rented a room for 2 weeks, ordered cleaning almost every 2 days. When they cleaned, they didn't wash the floors, apparently they just swept, there was even a centimeter of dust on the shelves in the bathroom. In general, the cleaning was done as superficially as possible. But all this is nonsense compared to what we encountered later.
In the room, as in all standard rooms, there is a safe in the closet, where we left valuables and money.
At first, we did not understand where the 200 dollars disappeared to. We thought it was a mistake or they simply miscalculated. Then, after counting the money and putting it back in the safe, we ordered cleaning, and when we returned the same day, we checked again and found another 100 dollars missing, and we were convinced that they were stealing from the safe during cleaning. In short, they don’t take the entire amount, but a little, so as not to arouse suspicion. We immediately reported all the information to the manager, and they promised to help us. But we never received any help, since it was impossible to figure it out. Of course, we couldn’t directly prove that this wasn’t an insinuation, since there were no cameras in the room, especially since the theft was done almost professionally from the safe, to which, according to them, no one from the hotel except the main ones had access. The situation was certainly unpleasant, but it showed that even a safe doesn’t provide security, and it’s better to carry everything valuable with you. Otherwise, the hotel is good, just be vigilant and attentive, and don’t leave cash...
Read moreI stayed 4 nights in this hotel. I usually book different areas but I came across this hotel by chance and it had good reviews with affordable prices so I decided to stay here. The hotel was super clean and location was really good just 30 sec to the night out area but there were no noise around hotel so you can choose rest or night out depending your mood. Also easy to access to Şişhane station and popular landmarks. One day I lost my purse somewhere and asked receptionist to call Starbucks which is where I saw my purse last time. But the Starbucks was not answering phone and one of hotel staff Mr Sahin took me to Starbucks and he took me everywhere I went. I couldn’t find my purse but he made me feel better with his kindness. I couldn’t thank him enough for his help.
It was my 5th time visiting Istanbul. But it was the best hotel I had ever stayed in Istanbul. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good place with helpful hotel staff. I will definitely go back this hotel when I stay in Istanbul. Thank...
Read moreI spent 6 nights at Massimo Hotel. The location is amazing — just a few minutes’ walk to Istiklal Street and Galata Tower, but still tucked away on a quiet side street, which made it peaceful and relaxing after a day out. My room was clean, cozy, and beautifully designed. I really appreciated the comfortable bed, strong shower, and reliable Wi-Fi. Everything felt very well taken care of. Housekeeping was also excellent — they refreshed my room daily, and it always felt spotless. What really stood out to me was the staff. They were incredibly kind and welcoming — I felt safe and truly cared for. Whether it was helping with directions or just checking in to make sure everything was okay, they always made me feel at home. I’d definitely recommend Massimo Hotel to others or anyone looking for a lovely, central place to stay in Istanbul. I will absolutely be...
