I had a really good experience at Perra Rasso Hotel Istanbul. First off, the location is unbeatable – right in the middle of everything. You're literally steps away from all kinds of restaurants, cafes, and shops. There's a barber shop right next door (I even got a haircut), and a small supermarket beside it where you can grab water, sodas, or snacks easily.
One of the highlights of my stay was definitely Marina at the front desk. She always had the brightest smile every time I saw her, which genuinely made the place feel more welcoming. She was polite, professional, and just had great energy – it's rare to see someone so consistently friendly!
The room itself was clean and secure, and I felt totally safe during my stay. I didn’t request any room service or cleaning since I was out exploring most of the time, but they do offer daily room service if you put the sign on your door.
A couple of things to note for future travelers:
They don’t provide body wash, toothbrush, or toothpaste, so bring your own toiletries.
The main rainfall shower head had very low water pressure, so I used the handheld shower instead for the duration of my stay.
Breakfast is simple but decent – enough to get you started for the day.
A special shoutout to Ada Istiklal Restaurant, just around the corner – I ate there most of the time. 10/10 food and service.
Overall, it was a great value stay in a perfect location, and I’d recommend it – especially for short-term visitors who want convenience, comfort, and a friendly face at reception. Thanks again to Marina for making it...
Read moreBooking hotels in Istanbul through booking.com is a nightmare in itself. Most turkish hotels don’t use the platfortm so you are left with not many options. After days of research we chose this one even though some of the reviews were absolutely terrible and didn’t really know what to expect. The hotel is generally nice outside, the rooms are spacious, the hygiene could be better but nothing that dramatic. The major problem is the noice - at night you cannot open your windows even if you want to have some fresh air. It’s so loud downstairs from all the bars, it’s quite uncomfortable. If the problem with the noice wasn’t there, it would be a lovely place for a short vacation. Apart from that it is kind of on a hill so there is some walking involved, but lots of places to grab a bite to eat and easy reach into the oldtown. My major problem was the breakfast - it has really weird hours so if you wanna grab a bite to eat and start an early day, you can’t - it’s much later on in the day. So basically we skipped all of our breakfasts (3x), on one of the days we asked if we could grab something to eat on the go, just like a simit and some tea, and were refused since you can only consume on the premises. Considering the weird breakfast hours and this refusal it really felt like they were trying to avoid too many people having breakfast there. Not so happy with the service...
Read moreHotel is very new - 1 and a bit months old. Stayed for two nights (from 10th to 12th of June). Clean, stylish, very good shower, good internet. Very good for the money.
Some things are not finished in the hotel: like tv shows 0 channels, radiators are not fitted yet. But all that does not bother you (you can see from the pictures, that rooms very god quality by all means).
IMPORTANT: beware of the noise outside the hotel during the night. More quite rooms are facing the hotel entrance. The other side is a night club, so during Fridays and weekends it is very loud during the night. Apparently the club closes 4-5 in the morning
Everything is new. Showers are amazing. 4 floor with 4 rooms on each floor totaling 16 rooms.
I booked a triple room, could not see where the third person will fit in in either room.
Wi-fi is good.
Hotel stuff is very friendly.
Breakfast is very limited (not enough for a full breakfast): only cold food, you will be given a plate with 1 egg, few slices of cheese and ham, some cucumbers and tomatoes, some jam, butter an honey. Drinks unlimited: coffee, tea, orange juice and water. Bread is...
