Meydan Suites — Hotel in Fatih

I wanted to write a detailed review for this one as this kind of experience I have never had while booking for a property through booking.com or airbnb.||||First and foremost the booking was done for this property back on 19-Jun. We were so happy that the booking was done in istanbul and we don't have to worry about anything. ||||Now when we started our turkey trip on 21-Sep, we are later getting response from booking.com saying that the credit card is invalid. We tried one debit card also & again it was rejected saying invalid card. Then we tried with another credit card & again we got the response saying it was invalid. Point to note is that out of three, two credit cards were used for payments in other cities of turkey like antalya and cappadocia and they were very well accepted. Moreover we did another booking in istanbul with the same credit card & it was accepted well. ||||We tried to contact the owner based on the number provided in booking.com. Owner did not pick the call & "declines the call". Tried messaging the owner on whatsapp (Pic attached) on 20-Sep to discuss this issue, owner reads it but no response.||||Even booking.com sent us an email saying that they mentioned to the owner that we will pay on arrival, in case cards does not work. However I don't understand why the owner was not responsive or not ready to accept our calls. I understand if you decline something, but atleast we could have had a word before the booking was cancelled.||||So if you want to take a risk of your booking getting cancelled in between your trip, even though you made the booking 2 months in advance, then I will suggest please go ahead. But for us this was a nightmare and I definitely will not recommend anyone to book this particular...

East or west Erray (owner of meydan suites) and his rooms are best !

I have been to Erray hotel for 13 nights in a very reasonable price. I get a very good service. Maid comes every 2nd day or even whenever you call her she will do her cleaning when you are away. Don't worry about your belongings. Whole staff is Trustable.

You will have 24/7 heating/cooling then hot and cold water 24/7. Cleaning level 10/10.

Lighting 10/10

Erray even have a generator backup as when I was there it's been snowing 4 days continuously and for a limited time ( few minutes) there was a power outage but erray generators didn't let the power down 💗.

Rooms also have hair dryers , soaps , shower gels, different type of tea packets, electric kettle , room mini fridge , eating table , chairs etc, super Fast wifi.

Another pro is From Erray hotel everything is on few minutes walk. If you need snacks there is a super store on 2 minutes walk . There are 2 best restaurants near his hotel like Blu restaurant. I have alot of positives to tell about Meydan suites and his owner Erray but let's discuss now only few negatives.

Negatives.. I recommend Erray to put a microwave at some place because whatever you order online to eat it gets cold :( and there is no microwave to re heat it :( ... Also if meydan suites offer some sort of breakfast too then Erray hotel will be full 4.5* 😍. Another thing is meydan don't have elevator but for a very fair and reasonable price I think this doesn't not bother for non...

I made the reservation in September for the beginning of December. Two days before departure I was notified by Booking.com that the host could not process the payment due to the invalid credit card (apparently, I provided a debit card instead of a credit card, which obviously was not true). I tried to provide other cards (all of them being functional), but they were all considered invalid. I also tried to contact the property by mail and telephone, on several occasions, but no one answered. On the day of the accommodation, when we were already on the road, the reservation was canceled. On arrival, the host offered an alternative accommodation (an economic apartment in nearby Heaven Suites Hotel). The official Booking Rate for this apartment was approx. 50% lower, but we were asked for the full initial price!||Together with us came a group of families who booked separately (and received) 2 double apartments, so I could see the way Meydan Hotel is organized. In fact, the hotel has only 6 rooms and no apartments! The two appartments were actually pairs of 2 separate rooms divided by the main hallway and staircase. Although the hotel has only 6 rooms, this hotel offers on Booking.com a number of 5 apartments and 3 double rooms, which would mean a total of 5x2+3=15 rooms (150% above the available real capacity !!!) Therefore, the policy of the hotel is obviously to OVERBOOK ROOMS, redirecting the extra tourists to neighboring hotels, paying the same price, but in worse...
